I think the main problem with Wildstar is it basically proposes the same features than WoW (raiding, arenas, BGs, etc) with inferior combat gameplay. The only feature (warplots) which would stand is in fact a glorified Alterac with instanced plugs? laDungeon Keeper, kind of. Wildstar's combat gameplay isn't awful, it just lacks depth and feels kind of boring once you've figured the whole Telegraph casting -> Interrupt -> Burst momentum pattern. Limiting skills in actionbar doesn't help in the depth department of course.I really don't understand why people are bagging on this game so much. Sure, it's not particularly innovative, but I will be damned if it isn't fun.
This being said, the game is still in beta right now therefore combat gameplay could improve greatly before release. But when some people say "WoW in space" they're in fact not very far from the truth. I have no problem with WoW and I think it's a great game, but right now Wildstar is WoW's retarted MMO kid. It's like if you own an old car and you go buy the same model, but new. Once the fresh smell wears off, it's still the same car.
