TESO beta or release? Could be a big difference considering beta still has awhile to go for Wildstar.

I just don't understand what the attraction to this game is...

Every system in place a competitor does better. And for a game where combat responsiveness & movement is supposed to be their competitive advantage... Holy fuck do they have some work to do.

**keep in mind I did not get to a very high level, so maybe things change later on**

Combat movement and responsiveness is as good as any MMO I've played (most) and noticeably better, more fluid and enjoyable than TESO's. Maybe your issue is due to stress test related lag, I don't know.

I had fun in GW2 but the utter lack of variety in long-term goals and their (imo) bad decision to not work on an expansion made me quit that. Wildstar looks like it'll have similar combat but alot of their PR emphasizes endgame. That makes it interesting to me.

(it's pretty far from the game I would fund if I had 100 mill to spare, but in the current MMO space I cant get too picky or I'll replay Baldurs gate again).

Ya I considered that. Gonna give it another shot tonight and monitor my ping closely.

I do have to totally disagree about movement responsiveness though. Try to do a jumping puzzle and get back to me :p

I jump all over shit, no problems for me. Decent air control plus double jump is great. May just take some getting used to I guess.

I lol'd. I actually got invited to this; couldn't get into my NC Soft account, never got the reset email after a few attempts, realized that exactly zero of my friends are interested, and said fuck it I had better things to do this weekend.
