The fight in Nanatsu 20 was on par with the shit in UBW - the overall quality of detail may not be the same but this was by far the best fight scene in the series thus far.

Can't wait for the next few fights hehe.

Too bad the anime is ending with this arc. But it would have caught up with the manga in a few episodes. Hope for a second season in a few years when the manga will have enough material.

You guys talking about Nanatsu no Taizai ? UBW level fights sounds intriguing.

The style is different, its not as smooth,...mash Fairy Tail and UBW together and you likely have whats found in Nanatsu - tho admittedly the story is better than both of those shows. The combat is on par with UBW but the style is noticeably different.

lots of death in Cross Ange this week. I'm sad, good characters. I wonder what will happen next. Embryo is a real motherfucker.

Such a stark contrast between Nanatsu and Cross Ange. That Cross Ange episode was like a huge downer from halfway through until the end, where it went into hyper-dive. I get the feeling Tusk isn't gone, though. Momoka was a doll for Embryo, but Tusk was uncontrollable and thus something of a rare commodity. Where Embryo could elicit all kinds of shit in Ange, he was basically down to strict combat to control/kill Tusk. That seems different enough to possibly be a plot point. Either him not being dead or his bloodline being a driving point in resisting Embryo. Something related to it though, definitely.

edit: Nanatsu

There has -got- to be a shitload of content not being put into the animation. Outside of this episode there wasn't really any reason to believe that Margaret was being controlled by a demon (unless I somehow missed it in a drunken viewing rage or something) so -that- being the driving force behind Gil's action comes out of fucking nowhere. Dude in Red Armor definitely admits to killing his father in Gowther's dreamland, but how would Gilthunder know that? I get that they are basically trying to cram an ongoing series into this anime, but even with the cool as fuck fight scenes there are some serious wtf motivations from some characters that are barely if at all explained.

They explained the magic code he told Melodias to let him know she was in danger. Margaret was a hostage, not being taken control of. She jumped to free Gil.

Oh I got the magic code, but it only just came up in this episode, and when she jumped off the ledge Meliodas definitely killed some demon thing. It was heavily hinted earlier that she was a voluntary hostage because of the king being an actual hostage, so her jumping off the tower didn't make a great deal of sense outside of the two flashbacks, but even they didn't explain the demon thing Meliodas killed when she jumped. Why would some watchdog monster let her kill herself if she is supposed to be a hostage? Unless I missed something from a previous episode, which is possible, this whole episode was a huge deus ex machina for the Gil being a sleeper good guy. Either way, good episode, just it seems like there should have been more to it.

well supposedly in the manga was a bit clearer on what happened in the end

Basically gil was coerced into working with them to save margareth. Margareth had a sort of invisible demon guard he couldnt see or do anything about, that would have killed her (if the ladyknight gave the order) if he didnt join the faction. So he also faked his alliance to them and tried to make it look like he believed in their cause, still ofc they left the demon on margaret for insurance (Also the teletrasporting knigh with the freaking helm who was in charge of gil kinda had a crush on him and was jealous of margaret). The fact she was in prison of her own choice, its a bit a half lies/half truth.. as she wanted to take care of her own father, but they had to control the royal family so they couldnt let em roam freely, plus she was also despised by the knight lady, and it the knight lady who said that marg was free to go whenever to elizabeth (even tho the door was locked untill she opened it at the end). She prob said that to confused elizabeth, and when she let margareth go, the lady prob thought that gil was on her side, plus they didnt need to control the royal family anymore due to the their plan reaching its own conclusion (in thier mind). The monster also had no free will iirc, it was controlled by they lady, and the lady also checked on gil with another pet. So its not like the pet could do anything, think of it as a bomb strapped on you ready to go off if u didnt do as u were told.

The situation will be probably explained better once the fight its over and the various characters have a chance to talk amongst themself.

Just binge watched the first 20 episodes of Nanatsu. Kinda wish I had waited.

So is this going to be a long running anime like Naruto and Bleach or is it just slated to be a few seasons. Seems like they are building it up to start just in Liones and then branch out into all the other kingdoms over time.

It will only be 24 episodes. It will finish the first major arc from the manga.
The next arc is barely started, so it would have caught up with the manga in a few episodes after that.
We'll just have to wait a few years before having another season.

Shinichi hit that twang and hes NEWLY INVIGORATED!!!!
Lol'd at shinichi being really amazing. Reddit and mal people are pissed that it happened with no build up. I guess they never figured out the shinichi and morano stuff started way before the story did and it was more of a delay then a rush.

Three episodes left for the series. Some people I have talked to are complaining that the last three episodes have been too rushed but I'm okay with it since the last arc should fit well in the remaining three with no pacing issues.

The manga isn't anything like the show from episode 19 and beyond. Shit in the manga there's characters who have been dead a long time that lived til the end on the show.
