Wow So I was using the Joana guide because I haven't leveled Horde since classic. She made it paid which I understand and more than happy to pay since the guide was really good. I sign up it's $5 a month I use it first day. Next few days its offline for most pages and just buggy and then I can't login at all.
Now this mf made it $37 one time buy but like completely took away member access from people who were paying $5 a month already. So I obviously cancel/apply for refund but yeah pretty scummy/shady

Yeah, his sites server was taken down due to the surge of people on it. Or getting DDOS'd, still unclear. Subscription model is the most scummy of them all.
Also if that's true he took membership away completely instead of grandfathering everyone in, I'm pretty sure that dude can be sued lol

Been in this one for about 2 hours.
Yeah I've been in Stalag's queue since 2:30PM. It's now 4PM and it says I have 6500 people ahead of me and bounces from 1hour30 to 3 and a half hours. I think when I started there were like 8200 ahead.
Edit: 45 mins later and 5141 ahead of me and 3 hours left apparently. So basically a 5 hour queue started at 2pm lmao.

There must have been something OP in players hands the first month of launch because I remember doing Scholo with 5 people and not thinking it was that hard. We did have 2 Paladins though? I mean we died a lot at first, don't get me wrong, but we beat it within the first 5 hours of entering it and then did it plenty more times before I quit. I quit before there were any real raids, just that stuff in UBRS? With the dragon wyrm that drops blue class chest pieces.

Pallies may have made it easier. I dunno. Horde side they were 40 manning it at first and so it may also have just been gear + newbs but it was doable just required you to actually play well aka separated the men from the boys

We were 2 Pallies, a Rogue a Druid and a Mage. We all came from Classic everquest though so maybe we were already big boys. All of us thought WoW was way too easy when we started playing.Scholo wasn't easy, don't get me wrong, I just never felt like it was exceptional. We didn't even realize most people were doing it with more than 5, we thought it was just a dungeon like any other, but one of the last ones, so a bit harder. I'm pretty sure having 2 Pallies did help a lot, I remember they had a few things in their kit that were nice.

Plus just understanding the mechanics and having the EQ experience. most EQ players I met back then were very good at WoW whereas most non EQ players weren't very good. I got lucky and rolled with ex EQ and DAoC players on Zul'jin, helped me git gudder than I would have been otherwise since WoW was my first mud style mmo

Did both pre-nerf scholo and Baron. Scholo was by far more difficult in my opinion. One wipe and you were basically fucked. 10 minute roamer respawns with long pathing routes. Lot of unforgiving mechanics, especially later in the dungeon and everything was just very tight.
Baron himself was pretty hard, but the overall undead strat clear wasn't too difficult, imo.

I've been getting dropped from the que all day long. It just goes to log in screen at random intervals. It's essentially impossible for me to get into the server unless I literally stare at the screen for however long the que takes.
