I think we should go PVP server but I'll roll where ever we go. I don't plan on doing any retarded buff camping on a PVE server for sweaty MC though. That's ghey as fuck.

I just logged onto my Paladin on ERA Pagle and can confirm:

They're still purchased from WPL, not found on reagent vendors.
The 1 hour CD is still there
The price is still 10g

Kinda lame but maybe enough sod players will complain about the prices and the CD to get it changed lol

sure the PvP server is gonna be big

but the PVE gets all the transfers from hardcore deaths

can’t transfer to PvP from hardcore death

I would be surprised if anyone that dies on HC continues to play that character rather than re-rolling or outright rage quitting. I imagine theres a small % that wouldn't want to abandon the time invested but I doubt it will be a reliable, longterm source of players.

I'm mostly playing devils advocate here (I actually want to go PVP too after keeping thinking about it).

When I was on era recently I spoke to dead people from hardcore. So I'm not totally buying that but you could be correct.

I would think this would be the case. There are going to be some amount of people that start Hardcore as a curiosity knowing they're going to get dumped on to the PvE realm eventually so why not give it a try. Those would be the people the PvE server would gain.

edit - if you die do you get a little tombstone thing next to your name? A "died at level 1" icon would be BiS for PvE.

If I play I can't do PVP. The nostalgic side in me loves it, but the reality is I have three business and five kids with a wife. I'm just a victim for some former version of myself at this point...
