I fully understand many of you won't like islands... but at least try a heroic if not mythic, with 2 people you actually know, before totally bailing on them.

I think the base of island gameplay is probably fine. They may need to change/upgrade rewards but it is something they could tweak later for even more interesting stuff. With the tech there improving it and adding on over time should be pretty doable.

What's your ilvl? There is a point where doing WQ for gear upgrades is no longer necessary or worthwhile.

I'm at 305 total right now. I'm mostly pissed that a 325 emissary azurite cache dropped the same goddamn headpiece that was give for all the 310 quests. It is ridiculous.

Merrith Merrith I just had a thought hit me about your Tortollan rep based on 8/20's hotfix notes:

I'm wondering if that's the issue.

That would be shitty if you are just shit out of luck and they don't award the rep retroactively (which clearly seems like they didn't). I was thinking about it more and the first night being Tortollan probably covers most of it, since they emissary quest itself is 1500, and the map would have likely 4 total of their quests. Since they're 175 apiece, that's 700 more rep right there. If there was one hub that was bugged like those notes say and they never gave you the rep retroactively, that probably covers the gap. Just a little shitty sitting at 5,400/12k knowing I'm going to need likely another 5-7 days with another of their emissary quests to unlock pathfinder while my other 5 reps are already sitting at Revered.

Maybe I'm an idiot but I dont see it. We're farming trash mobs and rares for no actual reward besides some AP and maybe a drop. They take forever too

What are we meaning when we say "forever"? Can bang out a heroic in 15 min, 225 AP which is more than the random heroic (150 AP) gives each day.

Bah... the 340 Emissary award today gave me the same armor slot as my one other 340 item :(

I see your duplicate piece and raise you the following: In two weeks of mythics and 3x 340 armor caches, I currently hold 7 separate 340 chest pieces, zero helms and 1 shoulder. Feels bad.

Speaking of the mission table is there any way to get follower gear other than the BoP crafted stuff?
It's not BOP. My follower gear has "Bind on use" mention, not "Bind on pickup"...

You have to remember that there's a video available showing how crossing a bridge that takes an average retard 15 seconds to do taking Noodle's group quite awhile. Given that standard, I believe him that clearing a heroic might take him forever.

I don't play every class, but I am fairly certain the main stat on a 355 is more beneficial even with bad secondaries than a 340 piece of gear.
Possibly in BFA after the squishy thing. Because I remember having a titanforged stuff that was like 6% under my current non-titanforged one (and that's with simcrafted weights, non basic Pawn ones).

Yea. My guildmistress was absolutely sure that the mythic version was actual horde pvp. I kept telling her "no, no. It's 3 normal vs AI. PvP is a completely separate version!" "No Way!" "Yes. It's AI, not players. Players would be more stupid!"

To go along with scaling

Mob Scaling while Leveling
  • Lack of progression while leveling is something the team understands and wants to address/do better in the future.
  • Before the world scaled to level, the increased challenge of mobs was not felt as much because it was understandable that mobs in higher level zones would increase in difficulty.
  • Mobs being more challenging at max level that were easy at lower levels is not a good feeling.

I think if they did a bit more gradual scaling or half steps right when people first hit 120 there would not have been the complaints. But really when you hit max level all the sudden things are very noticeably harder while your own power did not seem to increase to match it. Once you get enough ilevels it goes back to feeling like it should but it is not a good experience for fresh 120s.

  • Before world scaling, players would become so strong that it would disrupt the outdoor world experience when killing mobs too fast for others to tag them.
  • Creatures only end up with about 3-4% more health at higher gear levels after dungeon gearing.

This sounds like a half truth at best. 4% more health isn't going to stop mobs from being killed too fast.

Some posts on PVP forum saying that if you hit someone for 10k, their screen might only show them being hit for 7500. Something's not quite right...
