I've been doing a lot of old school rep farming and soloing on my main toon. Just got hunter and mage their Crystal of Insanity this morning. Only have 1 other toon at 90 and all three hit lfr every week. Nalak too. May add oondasta someday, but I hate that island.
Yea, doing something for the first time, even the first time on another alt is great. You feel...maybe not enthusiastic, but like it's worthwhile.
There are just tons of quality of life things they need to work on with this xpac. I mean hell, the throne of thunder quests weren't so bad - they are reminiscent of the Isle of Quel'danas quests and all that, but some of the things are just ri-god-damn-diculous for what they are. I really, REALLY have to kill something like Itoka every day? The idea I assume is that many people will do it, but often I find myself doing dailies out of boredom late at night so it's just me. Itoka isn't hard, but he takes a long time, since you have to click all of those stupid conductors. And then the platform jumping, ugh.
There's also the issue that they are stalling on things that should be in now; tri-spec got pushed back from 5.3 and I kid you not, Ghostcrawler's bullshit answer was that they were worried if a class like a rogue had 3 specs then every rogue would be the same. To me, that is more an issue of some talents being generally utter shit for some classes, not tri-spec. And every class benefits from tri-spec, especially since so many encounters change, and having a tree for AE, or hard hitting single target, or survivability on the side is most excellent. Then there's the other classes, where tri-spec now legitimately means you become a completely different role. And we're worried that your shitty talents make a class like a rogue cookie cutter? Go fuck yourself.
I've also mentioned before that I just really think they are so out of touch with the community. This whole "MOP is designed to be done casually, take it slow" and then casuals were fucking less likely to do ANYTHING. I imagine people are annoyed by now hearing me complain about druids, but jesus. Our issues haven't changed since the beginning of Cata; we've ebbed and flowed, primarily due to encounters than to any real changes done to the class, and the one thing that hurts us the most is balancing around pvp. But that doesn't matter, and no matter how many times the math is done, parses are run, field tests are had, and questions directly asked of a dev, they think druids are fine. Shamans for that matter too. It's fucking ridiculously bad.
Sorry, late night and I'm doing isle dailies so I'm in a ranting mood. They're practically hemorrhaging subscribers at this point, so what they should generally say is that quality of life are probably going to at least drag things out, but i really don't see much of that happening.
