for context, we were discussing the recent release of the vanilla HC servers and how retarded they were, and blizzard had hinted about SoM2 servers and we were discussing what we would like to see.

I suggested a time locked progression server with 8 week phases, no world buffs, progressing through vanilla, tbc, and wotlk again over a 3 year period, basically a compressed re-release of the vanilla through wotlk classic servers to buy time for them to figure out what to do (or to just repeat that 3 year process with "some changes" each time to keep it fresh). I said i'd like permanent Joyous Journeys (50% xp buff) because nobody really wants to level again in classic, especially leveling alts, and that we all just paid indonesian gold farmers to level our alts in maraudon boost runs and 50% exp bonus would help alleviate that.

You argued that the leveling experience is the only reason people played classic and leveling 1-60 repeatedly on alts was classics primary appeal.

Now I don't think anyone predicted that the classic WoW team was going to pour as much time and resources or make as many changes in SoD as they ended up doing, I mean we all hoped for a real "Classic+" but I don't think anyone expected them to even try but yeah, what we ended up getting in SoD was way different than what we expected out of modern day blizzard.

However, back to my original idea for this season, other than my desire for no world buffs (at least they are level capping them as we go, maybe they will address all the end game ones at 60?), what we ended up getting is remarkably close to what I asked for. We even got the joyous journey buff for our alts on prior phase content. I think Phase 1 was too long for only lvl 25 cap and people ended up leveling more alts than they wanted just to pass the time. I know that I won't be leveling all my lvl 25s to lvl 40, ill probably focus on 2 or 3 and by next phase probably 2. Once we're at 60 and we see how the phase unlocks will go for raid content and what, if any changes are made to lvl 60 raids then ill probably have time to pick up some of my alts who will be sitting at lvl 25 and will get to level up with JJ buff.

So no you autistic fuckstick, what we got is in many ways far better than what I asked for, and if you think for a second the primary appeal of SoD is the slow leveling speed on a bunch of alts you are as delusional as you are autistic.
