I'm 49.5 but didn't stay on past midnight because I'm at work today. Enjoyable grind so far, wish I had done some more of it in the new rep area instead of dungeons because I will need to get honored either way. But I leave tomorrow for a week so we'll see how it goes while I'm away.

How long did it take?

Considering this or Elden Ring DLC prep or FF14 for the crossover event.

8-12 hours for most of my party depending on whether or not they used fodder and with breaks here and there.

I think I could do it solo on my mage faster.

If you got out there pre gold nerf and before it got crowded it was pretty gross exp and money. One guildie made about 500g and got to 50 at basically the same pace as our dungeon group. When we went we kept getting 200+ player layers in the ashenvale one so we ditched and went back to ZF.

I started doing the feralas one though and it's still decent xp/money/rep and not so crowded for at least another day or two ;[

I did 48-50 in the Feralas incursion Friday morning. Great xp once you figure out all the quests and get a route down, gold was fine. 40-50 took about 10 hours. Got a couple rogue runes, bought my WSG ring, dagger, and bracers. Looking forward to ST tonight. I’ve really enjoyed all the SoD changes to this point.

They halved pvp damage because everything is so bursty.

....BUT, apparently that damage debuff is only for level 50s, do with that what you will ;)

Who designed the 51 incursion zones? I've got a lot of MMO time under my belt, and these have to be one of the most unfun things to do in a game I've ever seen.

I think they're supposed to be difficult, require grouping. The problem with WoW players is that they will always optimize the shortest path to the cheese, turning a challenging activity into a cumbersome exercise that borders on the edge of exploitation.

Good in theory, but there was only 1 horde group going (to the 50 alliance groups roaming), and like you said, they would only invite for No Kill runs. After countless snares, dismounts, debuffs from the few mobs that were up, my grande finale was apparently a giant raid turtle that will chase you with ticking AE damage in a 300 meter radius until you completely exit the zone. I gladly obliged and logged out :p

Phase 3- Interest is Waning

This has been a difficult bridge phase. Our guild merged with another guild midway through Phase 2 to bolster our numbers and then we brought in a 3rd guild when Phase 3 launched. This brought our core group up to 25 or so raiders. It was all pretty smooth from a personnel standpoint. We were able to clear Sunken Temple in the 2nd lockout and have it on farm status sub-one hour.

Sunken Temple is a pretty good raid, but the itemization is lackluster and it gets worse knowing all of will be replaced in short order next phase. Our guild numbers are strong for the weekly raid, but dip down to 3-4 people during the rest of the week.

There just isn't much to do that feels meaningful or worthwhile. And, if you missed out on the Launch Day Incursion gold spike, you can't keep up with the economy inflation and fucked AH prices. There just isn't much to do outside of creating alts and most of us got that out of our systems in Phase 1 & 2.

The game is on log on 1-hour a week status and that is going to be a death sentence for most guilds as people just stop logging on at all.

Completely agree. P3 hasnt been fun at all. ST raid has so much trash and takes way too long. Gear is barely an upgrade. Grinding incursions is mind numbing. And doubling down on STV was even worse. For being a seasonal server it has way too much grinding going. Most my friends have quit by now.

I think they can turn it around at 60. I was really wary about this phase going into it, expecting all of the problems that showed up.

There's no point in hardcore gear grinding because all of the content is pretty trivial, and I don't expect it to be very hard at 60 but I could easily be wrong.

P1 was great because it was accelerated with the new abilities, BFD was fairly quick too.

P2 having all the Gnomer trash and long death run back killed my interest, it was the opposite of acceleration.

Not played P3.

I think raids were the wrong route, they needed new dungeons for gearing which could double up for levelling in the next phase.

Like have BFD be a lv25 to lv29 dungeon that's a challenge at 25 and good for exp up to 33. Levelling in SM only was awful and it was too busy to level in a PvP zone.

If they didn’t have raids they’d have to have shortened each phase significantly. I’m still raiding ST, it’s a fun raid. I just don’t have much need to log on outside that as I’m full bis already and am set for next phase:

you can create an opposite faction character on lavalash and then transfer to your server and both factions will be on same account

They'll likely do a lot of adjustments to runes in P4, theres so many runes that should not at all share the same slots as others which they'll move around similiar to what they did earlier this phase with druids/paladins

I just want the game to be max level already and having dungeons have some real meaning beyond spamming princess for wild offerings for a few hours.

We just lost half of our guild to Cata Classic servers and some other guild drama. This phase is killing SOD.

Can we still clear ST? Sure, won't be a problem, but we've all been BIS for a few weeks now. So, what is the point?

Even with the server merges and quirkiness of layering, Wild Growth is starting to feel a bit lifeless.
