Yeah, I'm sure there is some good tech out there that we aren't aware of yet. We've got guys working on that and we're doing our best to mitigate some weak areas in our knowledge base with testing and recruitment.

I've got it narrowed down to warrior, rogue, or warlock. Don't remember a ton about vanilla.

World PvP? Unless you're always in 5 mans or rolling with your crew I'd pick rogue. Rarely an incident you can't avoid and plenty that you can exploit.

70% of Horde will be UD, so Warlock is ~meh

I started playing on kronos3 instead. I think LH will have a bigger population but kronos3 is already overpopulated anyway. Biggest reason for choosing K3 over LH is all the drama. LH seems have crooked admins doing shady shit all the time. I played on LH/elysium before and the servers themselves aren't any different from what I can tell as far as scripting/mechaniscs

One thing to note: "of healing" "of frost power" "of attack power" is present on K3, apparently because that's just native to 1.12.1 and they didn't remove it. So a few blue and green of ________ items in higher end content is potentially BIS for some time. AFAIK, there is no interest in removing it from the admins. I'd rather it not be so, but w/e.

I am curious if these servers can withstand the release of WoW Classic.

Is 1.12 after the "normalization" patch or before? Because IMO anything after is not classic and a slow road to shit.

It's way after. 1.8 (normalization) was about a year in and 1.12 was right before TBC.

I may try this out if the itemization is much more accurately tracking 1.0/1.2. K3 is quite lazy with itemization, and a lot of 1.12.1 stuff just skews the balance of classes and scope of gearing, noticeably favoring clothies with "of _____ wrath" and "of healing" gear. PvP gear is like 1.5 or w/e, so basically half the classes won't take off greens and blues in MC/BWL because their random stats and PvP gear is better suited toward min/maxing. Deathbone and Savage Gladiator sets are both adjusted to 1.10, so they're retardedly good as well.

Meanwhile they gated other loot tables somewhat arbitrarily so half of the eventual drops from 5 mans aren't present on many mobs. There is no apparently rhyme or reason to what is accurate to 1.2 and what is some scrap they left in from 1.12.1.

Despite an earnest effort, I really find WoW unenjoyable. I'm not sure why but it just seems so boring.

Wow was a grind in the early days, and they changed that pretty quick. These vanilla servers miss that whole point. I don't want to waste a week of grinding to get to max lvl so i can pvp.
