Nice , did you happen to see what the water level is at the dam?
Seemed pretty darn low going by the color on the rock. Can’t remember what it looked like the last time I was here twoish decades ago. I’m slightly salty since there were so many people at the dam, we had to leave the plant tour early because we wouldn’t make our bus in time while also walking the top of the dam. Of course we sat there for an extra 30min waiting for other people that did go on the tour…

My current girlfriend. The other guy in the pic is her son. She's an OR nurse and almost 5' tall and I'm 6'-1. Same age as me. 52. She's a widow, drunk driver got her husband. Yes that's an Auburn sign in the background, she does have her issues. Can't win them all. We met for a week when I was in scouts and we went to AR for a week for camping/hiking and she was there with her dad at a car show showing his Mach I Mustang. Even at 14 I knew a teen girl didn't want to hear from a guy abou ther dads car. She got in touch with me a number of years ago.

The water level of the damn is 1069 feet up 22 feet from last year at this time. They just recently started releasing water from Lake Powell to help sustain the water levels. The Federal government has also gotten involved in the water management as the 7 states that share the Colorado river cannot behave. Basically the lake is about 35% full. If you ever want an updated photo just let me know, the view from my home office overlooks Lake.

Cool. I didn't know if the rains last year(s) took it out of danger like in CA. None of them can play nice. I went to the gold mine in Nelson and we went down to the river , could not believe that was there and I've lived in this area since 2014.

Randomly took this out my sunroof while going down the road at 40mph on the way to work.

Soent 7 hours climbing and descending one of our highest peaks on Sunday. Not as fit as was now mid 50’s but still happy able to do it with just sore thighs afterwards. Was hell of a view above the clouds looking down onto a main reservoir!

Pic of a Burrowing Owl in a ditch near my house. Came out pretty good for a cell phone digital zoom.

How are you liking it? I was pissed last night/today as the weather went to crap. I'm really enjoying mine.
Really fun so far. Looking forward to trying to photograph the eclipse. There isn't enough time to capture all the great shots! Also my sleep schedule went to shit last week due to clear skies and cool temps.

M1 (Crab Nebula) , M81 (Dane's galaxy) & M82 (cigar galaxy)

Also on a very related topic, can anyone recommend a cheap or free photo editing program that's somewhere between W11's built in junk and GIMP? I can output to .tiff files but the learning curve on GIMP is massive.
