It's been a while since I've used my camera on a regular basis, still have me 1st gen DSLR Rebel.

I know you snowboarders can only sit on the side of the hill, but can't you slide to the bottom?

It would appear it's either early or late season, and they're downloading the bottom part of the mountain due to lack of snow/base. Also sometimes mountains will close runs at a certain time, sharp, so that ski patrol can "sweep" the mountain. If you don't get on the run in time, they may make you download so they don't have to worry about you being injured on the hill somewhere.

Actually, if look at the full size hi-res version of the picture, that trail coming his foot is actually a string of water droplets. Since I knew I wanted everything to be silhouetted black against the sunset when I was taking those pictures it allowed me to use a really fast shutter speed and AI Servo to freeze the action. A tripod would have made it so I could have strung together several shots onto one picture easily. Probably could still do it, but way more time in photoshop than I feel like spending on it. That is one of my favorite pictures that I have shot though.

I hate you so much for making me go back on my word of continuing to lurk (oh well, grow community, grow!).

Took the wife to the musicals in Stuttgart this year and stopped by the Porsche Museum & Mercedes Museum to get something out of the whole trip.
Compared to some here, I have *much* to learn...

Thanks, I love the spider series. It's one of the few that is permanent. I believe there are ~24 in the world and only 8 are permanent. This shot of yours is awesome, I love how they're all hanging out wondering what you're doing.Drek - The chimney pic is very cool. The giant spider attacking the cathedral is pretty funny as well. Glad you unlurked.
