I have always played Borderlands as a member of the PC master race, but elected to go Xbox Series X for this given that there's the universal crossplay functionality. I'm not absolutely sure this was the best call, but my PC is showing its age and finding a damn video card is a pain....
Having capped my Faith and getting tired of being beat like a red headed stepchild I upped my Endurance so I could wear some real armor...
... and it doesn't seem to do jack?
The difference between being naked and wearing heavy metal seems almost inconsequential. If I get hit I get owned...
So reading that if you use an Incantation Seal that scales primarily with something other than Faith that it wont effect Heals / Buffs as those only scale off Faith despite what the Incant Scaling stat shows.
Can anyone confirm or deny this based on their first hand knowledge? There are just...
The effects are good and I actually like a majority of the characters (not Burnham...) but Christ on a cracker the writing is lazy as fuck.
Them:"We broke out of the galactic barrier"
Me: "Why the fuck is that even a thing... you gonna ever explain that?"
Them:"Our goal is in sight but we see a...
I think part of the issue is that Avatar is a film that was so closely associated with the amazing 3D. Post converted movies for 3D and even animated flicks that get a 3D rendering are no where near as cool as the original film....and so people have soured on 3D in general as a result.
I...

So co-op multiplayer and a whole new campaign DLC
She's just a fan of Captain Marvel instead. Which, as others have said, is a bit odd since she's not exactly been a known thing as far as we are aware. I'm guessing during the blip-time she must have been seen doing Avengers stuff?
Interesting way to change her powers to be more 'TV budget' friendly (and to make sure that Mr. Fantastic doesn't look like he's a Ms. Marvel knock-off when he shows up.)
Did I miss a whole part of Alicia's plot? She got the one promotion but then somehow a second promotion comes about and is related to an offer of the corporate apartment or something else? I did notice there were a few elements that seemed like they had no pay off (like the investigator) and...
"Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands will ship on March 25 with full cross play for all platforms at launch, including PlayStation. Incredible work from the engineers at Gearbox Software with thanks to our partners at 2k Games and 1st parties, including Sony, for working together on this."
So good to see...
I liked the backstory stuff with Luke. I figured he was actually some sort of badass military guy given that he earned his way into the upload .
I also like the quirky self-consistent details like the ring drives. It's small things that make it seem more plausible.
I never noticed...
I do want to go back and finish off all the bits I left untouched and max my weapons. Was waiting to hear definitive DLC plans though.
They just announced the MSRP for Frosthaven will be $250. This is much higher than the estimate during the Kickstarter but lots of changes resulted in a much higher price point.
Existing backers are fine, but that is a huge number for a retail boardgame...
"You are not prepared for what is coming!"
"Okay. So if you know, could you tell us so we can GET prepared?"
"Errrr -- I mean I guess I could have tried that first...."
Good lord the multiplayer is needlessly obtuse. What's fun, however, is watching my friend the self-proclaimed souls god get his ass owned repeatedly by trivial bosses and declaring the area is too hard for us.
Him: "This area is just too hard for us"
Me: "What are your stats at? What are...
No.
The Elden Ring story that YOU have created in your mind based on the various bits and bobs that have been handed to you may be good, but that's the same sort of story someone creates based on the bio blurb on the back of a G.I. Joe figure...
This is just some JJ Abrams mystery-box bullshit...
HFW is a much better overall entertainment product. The synergy of combat and crafting, the overall flow of battle, the epic story and quest design etc.
Elden Ring is a game about edging. It punches you in the dick over and over and then doles out a bit of endorphins before slamming another...
I've been using the Page summon which is fairly beefy and the now shots taunt fairly well against many bosses. Since she's ranged I can plonk her down somewhere in an open clearing and then when she pulls aggro I can lob rocks at the boss until he notices me again.
I have a ton of spells that are just ... terrible. I keep trying to figure out in exactly what scenario some of these would even be viable. I just got the big hammer and the lobbed grenade today and both are just as bad as everything else.
Did they think this through?
This is my first 'souls game' so I have no direct comparison, but the buddy of mine who compelled me to get the game finally installed it himself yesterday and is extremely disappointed by how they "ruined it".
His specific comments include :
Unrealistic movement especially including jumping...
Watched the start on a lark as a post-movie palette cleanser. (The new Texas Chainsaw Massacre is garbage)
Everyone was instantly intrigued by this dark comedy. The way it has been filmed with plenty of lingering shots of abstract symmetry is just calming while also creepy as fuck.
The touch with Q noting how old Picard had gotten and then 'catching up' was cute. With that said I have no idea where they are going with all this. Seeing Rios as captain of the Stargazer was cool though.
Clearly you are having a different experience with coop pool signs... I dropped mine a few times (while on a work call for example) and get maybe one invite every 20 mins.
The 'notes' would be a lot more helpful had the UX been slightly less awful. The default view for the middle pane in the...
So I finally learned (thanks to this thread) that I needed to 'activate' Godrick's Rune and that was possibly the most underwhelming thing I've seen in a game ever. It adds zero stats when equipped, despite the in-game text suggesting otherwise, and only does something if you use a Ring Arc...
I held onto almost all of my weapons and armor this time as there was quite a lot of differentiation in overall type / locked in perks. In the first game there were definitive 'this is the best' items for the different slots but that doesn't seem to be the case this time.
My...
Yeah I was feeling pretty salty in the magic-junkie zombie part of Raya Lucaria, but then I fought the dog and straight up Armageddon'd the thing into the ground. Its still annoying when the balls are forming and one hits a twig and pops, but creative LOS jockeying can help with that.
