I don’t know if I’d call streaming challenging personally but it can be pretty taxing. Like Xevy said, doing anything is a lot different if it’s on camera. Streaming to 1-5 people is a lot more awkward than streaming to 50-100 people too.
I’ve always felt like there was something pathetic about playing for the purpose of selling items to make money. I can’t really say why. I understand people who play normally and then sell their account/chars when they quit, it’s the people who play with the objective of generating revenue that...
I found this old image from a showcase at the 2000 ComicCon, looks like there were different model Dark Elf and Gnoll action figure prototypes at one point, if anyone was able to get a hold of these it would be a real holy grail of EQ collecting degeneracy.
the Gnoll on the right seems to be a...
A few EQ shirts I’ve acquired over the years.
I could only find this one in XXL or small. I hope it never fits...
My EQ Fanfaire shirt.
EQ 20th Anniversary Shirt
It looks like we’ve got enough players interested so I am thinking we aim for an early January start since I am sure many of us will have time blocked off around Xmas.
In the meantime we can enjoy the painful process of coordinating days/times where we can regularly set aside a few hours and...
Try another world and come back to 4 last. Even if you get Satsuki pretty low he WILL heal himself. I don’t think you can put out the pressure or dps you need to kill him with a CF+1.
If you put on the thief ring or grave robbers ring before entering 4-1 he won’t aggro the moment you zone in btw.
I’ve always felt like there is an issue where players who are very focused on peak character performance play the most meta classes, so a lot of times you don’t even see the full capabilities of some less effective classes.
It becomes more noticeable when you have talented players in classes...
This company bought a ton of dead/dying IPs lately. Most likely they won’t put any money into EQ and more likely if EQ turns a profit that profit will be used to subsidize the margins on the other games they’ve snapped up.
In other words, business as usual. It will be sold again at the end of 2025.
So I got this book today and inside it talks about how the initial EQ shipment was only 100,000 copies nationwide and most major retailers wouldn’t carry it. I bet that initial print run was the only one that came with the cloth classic map.
I picked up the Field of Bone version when it dropped. I know the Nagafen one was considered the “premium “ option but it uses some whack new art instead of the OG Keith Parkinson artwork so I passed.
I really loved Nioh at first but by mid to late game I disliked it because it became more diablo and less dark souls. I dislike Sekiro because it’s got almost no RPG elements at all. I really love games where I can level up, invest in stats, craft gear etc.
DS3 feels overproduced to me. It felt like every room and hall had 3-8 enemies.
I haven’t played it since I beat I the first time but I would say 3 is my least favorite souls game. My list is probably:
DS1
DeSR
BB
DS2
DS3
Sekiro (if we count it as this category it’s the worst imo)
I think I rank this as my number 2 Souls game under DS1. I did love the original but it felt very clunky even back in the day. I think the remake does a great job of removing that clunkiness without sacrificing the spirit of the game.
I still want to do a few more runs to compare since I have...
If it’s been that long since you played on a TLP then you should consider that they also changed classic/Kunark mobs to have 120khp instead of 32k, they doubled their melee damage, spell and AE damage, they made them mitigate a raw 40% of all incoming damage (separately from their additional AC...
