Hm, loaded the game back up, picked Continue and it placed me just before the final encounter. So I guess I can go do all the stuff I hadn't finished yet, maybe that'll let me hit 100%.

Ah well, guess I'll be forever stuck at 90%. Yet, maybe I'm missing something. There are activities you can do which are unrelated to the Story, so how do you do them after finishing the Story? Are they just available in NG+ by default (Stages / Time Trials)?

If you mean the Story characters, they have a reason to destroy them as they wish to change society. If you mean the NPC's, they are very aware of what is happening and are quite scared.

If you're tv/monitor supports hdmi 2.1 / VRR, use Balanced mode for HL, looks great and a stable 60fps. Much better than resolution or performance modes.

Did you get beyond that screen to see how it works, or just nope out immediately? I did and it's more than just jumping back into the fight shown, the one I selected out you at the very beginning of the overall encounter, so noped out. There is a similar, but complex activity that opens up...

If the little % and time gauge shown on the FF16 home screen are accurate, I'm at 45hrs and 66% progress. I'm a few hours past Titan.

Switch my TV into "rpg mode" instead of "fps", and for some reason, the motion blur while in Graphics mode seems less? Dunno, looks and runs great now. I would say I've just finished the first Act of the game, and saw a funny cutscene:

I tried JP at first, but the lip-syncing was so off that it was distracting, so back to English, totally fine with it.

The only thing holding this game is the performance, its OK, but given what else I've played this year (which looked nearly as good, Hogwarts / Lies of P), I find it disappointing. Rather impressed that the VA's they are using are capable of voicing emotion as good as JP voice actors.

I would suggest to not play in Graphics mode until there is an option to disable to tone down the motion blur, its really harsh on Graphics mode, but not bad at all on Performance. Not sure how this game will be on the eventual PC port, but I imagine you'll need to brute force it to get 4k...

The DMC guy said FF16 is his best work. Seems to be the case, but it'll take awhile to get the combat rolling with all the various combos of Eikon attacks.

I think the difficulty will be in NG+ / Final Fantasy Mode.
