Modern MMOs do not care about how "good" a player was in EQ. Sure you know a few tricks here and there about healing / pulling in EQ. But can you still min/max your HPS/DPS while dealing with 3-4 or even more boss mechanics when there is no place to LoS in modern MMOs says WoW, Wildstar, maybe...

You need to realize EQ and other first generation MMOs requires little to no skill to become "hardcore". Even today, if you played on a EQ TLP, 95% of players are not good at all including guild/raid leaders/officers. Some of them don't even fully understand the class they are playing after all...

I personally prefer more skills to be able to come up with unique rotations, but nothing too crazy. I don't like 1/2 buttons to win in old MMOs like EQ/WoW, that's just lazy.

Going to wait for all the patches / DLCs this time. I want to play the completed bug-free version of the game.

RIFT was very well done. The original dungeons for small group were challenging but not as difficult as Wildstar. Raids contents from both games were also very very good.

You gotta have meaningful endgames contents and lots of it, or most people won't stick around.

I am hoping for a raiding-focus MMO since they already have plenty of PvP games under the same IP.

Relive group/raid contents after 20 years is kinda fun, but I don't see myself doing this same old things ever again.

Personally, EQ TLP is a one time experience.

If it is only small scale pve end game content. I definitely won't go hardcore on this.

I personally do prefer their new website and new forum compared to the old ones. The new game play looks alright, they are putting in all new UI which is nice.
