Tebow ran like a 4.45 right? That's good speed for his size, just use him as third and short-goal line back.

But why does that even matter? Tebow is a QB. I mean, he has a winning record as a starter, which unlike some QBs happened because of him. Guy has an amazing competitive drive that makes him do miraculous things when he has to. He is better than Gabbert, the Shell of Carson Palmer, Tannehill, Sanchez, and John Kolb. If you really think he won't be playing QB next year(maybe not starting, but still a QB) you are crazy. He can be downright terrible, but he also has moments that make you question wether he is that terrible lol.

As for Sanchez, hopefully he goes to New England to replace Old Tom Brady, so he can shit on the Jets twice a year for taking a shit on his career.

This is all fun speculation, but I get the distinct impression that Tebow doesn't want to be Slash, he thinks he's an NFL caliber starting QB and that's what he wants to do.

McCoy will return and start for Eagles against Skins. RG3 practiced fully and could be cleared to play as early as tomorrow as long as there are no setbacks. Crazy to think Giants could actually be eliminated from playoff contention this week if things go right.

He ran a 4.7/4.72 at the combine. Not as slow as I thought. I thought he was a flat 5 but that's not exactly RB speed. That's fast enough for a TE or FB though I'd assume.

Yeah maybe I was think of Newton on the 4.45? Either way, Tebow really is a beast. Old roommate was a diehard Gator, and watching him play in College was nothing short of amazing. He will eventually be a starter somewhere again, too many bad QBs to not be. Next year, prolly not. Gonna see Sanchez, Alex Smith, mike Vick, Kirk Cousins and Matt Flynn all get picked up I'd imagine

If I had to make a guess I would say the 'Hawks just hold onto Flynn. They are paying Russell Wilson so little thanks to slotted salaries that they can afford to keep Flynn another year. Although I am sure they will listen to trade offers.

Also Cousins isn't going anywhere, also getting paid peanuts and RG3 is to injury prone.

Anything is possible but I can't see Rex remaining the HC at the Jets. He has had enough chances. Sanchez has no business in the NFL but with the way his contract is he'll at least be a backup next year. After that I doubt we see him again except on some practice squad.

Tebow is likely to find a home somewhere. NE? I just don't see it.

Well my thought process on Cousins is, why not trade him away. Recoup some of the trade chips they paid for RG3 and look like they got a franchise QB for almost nothing? Although you make a valid point about RG3 being injury prone

Redskins gave up so much for RG3 you'd think they need to try and recoup players any way they can right?

It's the Redskins. They will just go out and spend the rest of their cap room in free agency.
John Mara...err, the league took away too much cap space for treating an uncapped year like an uncapped year for that. It's going to make winning the division over them that much better, even if fucking Dallas does it instead...going down to the wire with the two teams he tried his best to cripple for not going along with the blatant collusion that was put on during the 2010 season must be slightly irritating for him.

About the only positive I can see from Dallas winning this week...long as we take care of business too it virtually locks the Giants out of the division title (barring them winning their last 2 and us tying Dallas in 2 weeks).

Why does trading Cousins keep getting brought up on this board? Are you guys retarded or something? They just drafted him this year so they're not paying him shit, and RG3 gets injured fairly frequently. Having a decent backup doesn't mean you get rid of him. It means you have protection when the inevitable happens.

Because back up QB's in the league don't normally get you what Cousins would garner in a trade, he is valuable both to Washington and many teams looking for a QB. You can easily pick up a back up QB maybe even in the draft again with a 4th or higher round draft pick again, Cousins would get a 2nd with ease and with all they gave up for RG3 that 2nd is something I would think most GM's would be hard pressed to pass up on.

It's just the thought process that if we could get a 2nd rounder for him would help us since we gave up so much to move up for RG3. I'm with your thinking though that we should keep him while he's cheap...even if I think the whole injury prone thing is a little early given he's missed 1 career start and wanted to play in that game as well. Look on pace to be back this week.

They picked him in the 4th rd, and I can't see them getting better than a 3rd ormaybea 2nd for him (Assuming he gets more playing time and brings his value up). What's the point? There are plenty of players pick in the 2nd and 3rd round that turn out shitty. There is some potential benefit with rolling the dice, but there's tons of risk.

The Redskins will keep Cousins around because he is cheap and familiar with the system. You don't want a turn-style of back up QB's going through your organization, especially with RG3's play-style. Just because he only missed 1 game doesn't mean he is not an injury risk. Anyone who has watched him play knows that he takes a beating.

If anything has been proven the last couple years...it's that teams will overpay for QB. Think what the Raiders actually traded for Carson Palmer? Hell even we (Skins) are guilty of it with Mcnabb. I'd rather keep the guy while he's cheap to be a reliable backup but if you're going to be a good team you're going to need to hit on a good percentage of your 2nd and 3rd round picks anyways. I don't think we'll move him though, unless he really starts wanting to try being a starter somewhere.
