I think you're all looking at it wrong. Just imagine how many yards he would've had if he hadn't been cursed. Maybe 4000.

I'm out at my parents place for Christmas and just found my old stack of rare cards/rookies. Found Curtis Martin, Marshall Faulk, and Shawn Kemp Rookies so far. Pretty cool seeing em again

I agree. Him breaking the record whilst being on the cover is a testament to his greatness. Next year will be back to normal. My guess is it will be either Marshawn Lynch, AP or JJ Watt.
