The giants need to replace what has left though.

Fuck, they need the tall receiver they haven't had since plax shot himself.
Someone to talk some coverage off cruz at least who can stay healthy.

I in the Netherlands so hard to keep up with the news but seems like the Rams have had a great draft so far. They can get scary good pretty quick if shit pans out. Jets taking Geno is a WTF?

I agree. This pickup makes for an even bigger circus for the Jets. But what choice did they have? They still have a pressing need at quarterback; they can't get rid of Sanchez because of his contract, and they can't trade Tebow for a stack of Jesus-shaped pancakes.

When they cut Sanchez and Tebow there won't be much of a circus left.

I want Lattimore or Okafor in the 4th, which means the Cowboys will draft a back up ballboy.

edit: If the Cowboys took a flyer on Barkley in the 4th or 5th I would also be excited. But Jerrah would never want to upset poor little Romo.

I don't know, Geno doesn't look that good to me. Could take anything but a QB in that spot. The entire offense pretty much sucks complete ass and you are stuck with Sanchez. If Geno is there future he is just as fucked as Sanchez is.

Look, Rex is getting fired on Black Monday. So now the Jets can only go with coaches who think Smith is the answer? If he doesn't work out, we're talking, what, 2015? 2016? before they go with another QB?

Then, look at the financial angle. (IIRC) The Jets take $3 million more in a cap hit if they release Sanchez now vs. next season. So now the Jets have to decide between making a clean break and having no money to spend or trying to save millions on a backup by keeping Sanchez around to poison the locker room/media.

They should have gone with OL/WR/defense so that the new Coach/QB regime in 2014 had the right pieces to start with. Now it'll be years before they have a clean break from last season.

Also, Smith isn't leaving much of a first impression. Guy is that surly because he didn't go first round? What's he going to be like when the Jets go between 4-12 and 6-10 the next few seasons? Why not call him Vince Young Jr. and be done with it.

With a much better QB class coming out next year, and the Jets looking like they will have a top 5 pick it made no sense to draft Geno. Tank the year, take BPA this year. Add to the fact Rex is involved, and could give a damn about offense to begin with. Good luck trying to develop a QB under his reign.

That organization will be a train wreck until they get a defensive coordinator trying to be a head coach out of there.

Nicks is a top 5 receiver when healthy, pretty sure he proved that during the Super Bowl run. We're fine at receiver, last year was just very flukey. He comes back, goes for 199 yards and 2 TDs against the Bucs, and then at the end of the game defender steps on his ankle after he beat him. Was never healthy again the rest of the season, but should be good this year.

Also have Reuben Randle to develop.

Really happy with what the Bucs have done. Nothing flashy, just filling needs. Like I said earlier in the thread, no real glaring needs since the offseason trades except maybe another CB (which they took Johnthan Banks at 43 overall) and defensive line help (which they took a DT at 100 and DE at 126).
