sad, I didn't know Candlestick was on the way out. Good for San Fran though.
Not really. It's fucking retarded. People travelling to the Super Bowl are going to be mad pumped until they realize the town they're going to is fucking Santa Clara - 45 miles away from SF. I'll definitely go to a game when the new stadiums opens because I'm sure it will be great, but that's over an hour commute to get to the stadium. I'm sure the traffic would make it longer if you were to drive. The stadium might as well be in San Jose.

well you sir have had the luxury of having your home team stadium in the city it represents. Gillette is in Foxboro, which is a hike from Boston. Albeit, the NEW ENGLAND patriots.. shouldn't expect the stadium to be centralized for any one state.

Yeah, I like how they are touting it as the Bay Area getting the Super Bowl and not San Francisco.

I can see the stadium being built from my office building, and I am sure it is going to be an incredible stadium. However, there isn't shit else around here, unless you want to go to Great America. San Jose is an okay town, but it isn't a world class city like San Francisco is. Traffic around here during that time is going to be fucking unbearable.

Brian Urlacher retired today, not a huge surprise, but I thought he'd play this year.
Guess he didn't want to take the tiny contract some team would offer him. I am a little surprised he couldn't get a couple million from someone.

He might get that offer, but not until after OTAs where a couple teams are trying in-house solutions at LB first. If those don't work out, they'll probably give him a call and we'll see if he sticks to that retirement.

That's possible, I wonder how much of it was Urlacher realizing he didn't want to play for another team. The guy has been pretty beat up the last few years too.

Hey at least they play in the same state. Giants, and Jets still can't figure out they haven't played home games in New York for 30-40 years.
