Yeah I guess doesn't make any sense to keep him after the defense played that awful last year and he sat half of the games, but still he was pretty good at blitzing and tackling. Maybe he'll take Ed reeds place if he retires.

I'd almost prefer to see Ed retire, definitely better than going to another team. I don't see us getting Woodson, if we get any free agents at all they won't be big expensive names and it will be later in the offseason after we deal with our own FA players.

Anyone else excited for the combine? I love this time of year with the red sox down in florida and the patriots looking at draft picks.

I've heard rumor of the pats trading mallet (back up QB) to the browns for their 6th overall pick, really unsure who they'd pick up with the pick though.

It's the Browns. They picked a 29 year old QB in the first round. Why not?

If it were any other team (except maybe the Raiders), I'd say Azeth is just trolling.

Has Mallett seen enough NFL time for us to know he is garbage? He was honestly my favorite QB in that draft outside of Cam. The thought of being able to grab him in the 2nd or 3rd and not waste the 12th overall on Ponder was exciting to me at the time.

I heard a rumor that the Patriots were going to trade Woodhead for Adrian Peterson and a conditional 1st round pick if AP didn't get 3000 yards next year.

Definitely not trolling. the rumor was from one of the embedded lockeroom style sports journalists. he was a guest speaker for 5 or so minutes on 98.5 the sports hubb. he had floated that rumor and they had him call in to defend it.

No NFL team would even give up a 4th round pick for Mallett. I mean, Alex Smith might not even fetch a 3rd round pick. The Browns are a terrible organization but even they are not that fucking inept.

Mike Fucking Lombardi (kill me please) apparently has a hard on for some Ryan Mallett. The most I've heard the Browns wanting to give up for the guy though was a 3rd rounder. LOL at the thought of using the #6 for the guy. Posting this means it will probably happen now though. Fuck it, par for the course in Cleveland.
