Yeah his role has changed so much as the Cowboy's O-line has gotten worse over the years, always pass blocking in the red zone.

I hate the Failcons but how can anyone hate Tony G?
Probably because Tony is still a Chief, just playing in a Falcon's uniform; it keeps people from hating him. Seriously though, he's a class act, a superhuman athlete, and the antithesis of Ray Lewis.

So I'm guessing Ravens fans are happy with Caldwell as OC so far? I haven't heard any Ravens fans bitch about the play calling and well... Ravens have been winning when it counts...

So what QB is going to declare themselves ELITE in the off season before they go on to school Brady on their way to the Superbowl? Last year it was the Derp Manning. This year it was Bert... Who's up next?

I was thinking about the superbowl teams and it's kind of interesting. The mantra in the NFL has always been "Offense wins games, Defense wins championships" and if you look at the SB teams they both have great defense, but in the case of the 49ers, it's the offense that has been getting it done in the playoffs thus far. The D has been decent, but with the exception of the Cardinals games they have given up 21+ and in several cases 30+ in the last 6 games. Aldon hasn't had a sack or even threatened one since Justin Smith's injury and teams have been able to move the ball consistently with the short passing game but they only have one loss in that stretch despite having a terrible field goal kicker thanks to the offense's ability to come from behind and come up with big plays when they are needed.

It sort of applies to Baltimore as well, they have been a defense-oriented team but Flacco and Ray Rice have been the heroes of late.

Difference between the 2 is 436 receptions and 5320 yards. Witten would have to average 87 receptions and 1064 yards a year to beat his numbers. While he may come close if all the stars fell into place I don't see it happening. Especially when they get rid of Romo in the next two years and he has a rookie QB chunking him the ball to close out his career.

i dont think Witten will play 5 more years in addition to the 10 he already played.

the crazy thing about their stats though is that witten missed 1 game in 10 seasons and gonzalez only missed 2 in 16 seasons.

given how much abuse TEs take thats pretty amazing.

They aren't getting rid of Romo, he's about to get an extension. There are no alternatives on the FA market or draft.

Why not? He's never had any injuries to his knees or anything that would preclude him to breaking down. He's only 30 years old and he's never gotten his numbers with speed or athleticism - he just runs perfect routes and is always where he's supposed to be, and doesn't drop passes.

Tony G is still playing at a high level right now - there's no reason he can't keep playing outside the fact he just doesn't seem to want to anymore. Maybe Witten feels the same in 5 years but I don't see injury or age related issue being the reason.

if you heard them talking about it, Romo is the greatest quarterback of the 2000s and he'll still be playing there when Texas finally secedes from the union after Hillary Clinton gets elected for her 2nd term as president in 2020.

Yea, because no QB has ever received an extension and then been kicked to the curb a few years later. (ie: dog killer) I also said within 2 years after he manages to be consistent and accomplish nothing.

I can't believe you fucking assholes are talking about Tony Romo in this thread.
