God I hate all the teams in the playoffs right now. Right now I hate the Ravens and 49ers the least compared to Atlanta and NE. I guess I will be rooting for them.

We usually match up very well with NE. Barring any bone headed turnovers or more special team disasters I see it being close again.

If the Ravens get officiating on their side for key plays that affect the score as much as they did against Denver, of course they have a chance. That said, losing Gronk does hurt, and I feel like the Ravens D has done a decent job of upsetting Brady in the past. Of course...when you consider what it took to even get the game to OT against Denver, the missed PI on the pick 6, a Hail Mary that never should be a completion, it's hard to think the Ravens can win the game. But Ray's last year...so who the fuck knows.
Brady is 2-2 in his recent matchups vs the Ravens.

Like I said last week, anyone who thinks the Ravens are going to go up there and get rolled is foolish. +9.5 pays the mortgage.

I think the Ravens D is spent. Question is what Ravens offense shows up. They are very Jekyll and Hyde this season.

if i didnt know any better, i'd say that NFL is rigging the AFC playoffs on purpose to have the biggest AFC rivalry in recent years play in championship game.

The Ravens always play the Pats tough. Surprised so many people are punching NE's ticket, especially with Flacco lobbing touchdown bombs all playoffs. Dan Patrick said the 49ers/Falcons line of 3 1/2 points is the largest in 30 years for a conference road team. Hard to believe there hasn't been a bigger spread.

The key is they are showing up now, when it counts.

Vs. Giants: 533 offensive yards, 33 points.
at Bengals: Throw it out, nobody played. Rested starters.
Vs. Colts: 439 offensive yards, 24 points.
at Denver: 479 offensive yards, 38 points.

Flacco has a 120 QB Rating, 5 TDs, no picks in the playoffs.

Edit: Some of you hate stats. I get that. For those of you who do, here's some Suggs for your entertainment.

One of those wins was the infamous playoff game 4 years ago when the Ravens won with Flacco going something like 4 of 10 for 34 yards. I do not think that will be very relevant for the game this week.

That said, they do always play them close, which is why if the line really is +9.5 I'd probably bet on the Ravens to cover...I just don't think they'll win unless they get some breaks.

it's fucking flacco. he has already surpassed his typical level of competence by light years in recent games, he's way overdue for a return back to the mean.

Arriving home after the game Saturday night, Champ Bailey was very excited to see his son running enthusiastically towards him. Leaning down to give him a hug, his son runs right past him and says "look dad, I'm Torrey Smith"

Then Ray Lewis jumped out of the bushes and murdered him.
