Hell, Vince Young won offensive rookie of the year. There's a lot of guys in the history of the NFL that come on like gangbusters until opposing coaches have a good amount of tape and an offseason to study how to stop them.

I still think RG3 will be fine, but his career may end up looking more like Randall Cunningham than Steve Young. I say this as someone who was ADAMANT that RG3 was better than Andrew Luck and should have been the first pick.

I'm kind of shocked one of the millions of Cowboys fans hasn't offered an avatar bet to me, maybe they all think they're actually going to lose!

Good to see that after I said here last year that RG3 was an attention whore and people like Gilg went batshit on me (NONONO HES JUST CHARISMATIC! LAWL), that some people are seeing it now. Just the predraft stuff comparing him to Luck they were two different people. People here were actually bashing Luck for his dorky Leave it to Beaver looking self while Rg3 was showing off his new sock designs to everyone who would look.

I think he could be a great QB but what I feared for him (the amount of hits of a much longer schedule vs men and not boys) seemed to have come true somewhat. I actually felt bad for the guy watching that Seahawks playoff game....like Mick yelling at Rocky when he's getting his face pounded in by Clubber Lang. I also agree Cousins seems like he could have actually been the steal of the draft when everyone was bashing the fuck out of Shanahan for taking 2 QBs. Seems like he was afraid of the same thing. I think you'd have to go 3 deep of guys like Rg3 on a QB depth chart to sustain that kind of thing in the pros, and most of the dual threat guys cant throw for shit (Pat White etc). Just look at Vicks career, and he was faster than Rg3.

Luck actually got hit significantly more than RG3 last year. I want to say it was like 130 or 140 times, versus like 95 or something for RG3. I don't know if it's cause he's white or what, but people forget that Luck can move. Ran the same 40 as Cam.

I did see a good one today. RG3-and-out.

My thoughts on RG3 is the same as any mobile QB: Assume most teams, in time, will take away their running ability. How good of a standard QB are they without the run game?

RG3s passing numbers are good but not great, so the trade deal will probably be viewed as a bad deal in the long run. From the Shanaclan's point of view, they got a couple extra years coaching in Washington out of the deal, so it was a home run.

Edit: Speaking of Luck, have I mentioned I love me some Bill Barnwell?

Reminds us that Luck has been hit the most out of all QBs since he entered the league, and that Donald Brown sucks at pass protection, which may have been the biggest reason for the Trent Richardson trade.

Browns are going to score like negative 10 points. Seems unlikely unless they win 10-7 with a defensive touchdown or something! They should probably be playing Cassel already.

How do the Browns even fill 50% of their stadium for the rest of the year? I know they're great football fans there, but damn. Giving up the season between weeks 2 and 3 is a kick in the ass for the fans this year...even if there's potential merit to their strategy in the next draft.

Lots and lots of Redskins quarterbacks have achieved a wild card weekend playoff loss. What he has done so far is nothing more than Jason Campbell did with Joe Gibbs a few years ago...they even won a playoff game in 2005.
That said, it's not like that playoff game wasn't 2 different games either. There was the 1st quarter with 80% RG3 marching down the field twice to be up 14-0, and the other 3 quarters, almost all of which after he had tweaked his knee on the play before his 2nd TD pass he was a complete gimp out there and hurting the team not taking himself out.

I think he should tone down his media stuff quite a bit, but it's not going to be all on him, the media is going to be coming at him regardless (and has for awhile now) because of who he is and what he's done. Whether or not he becomes a bust or not is up in the air, anyone who expected him not to be a little rusty coming out the gate with no preseason time was fooling themselves. He's managed to Romo it up for decent passing numbers in garbage halves, but until he actually can put up some points against non prevent or semi-prevent it'll be irrelevant.

You've gotta imagine the fans who bought a Richardson jersey are pretty pissed. You figure he'll be on the team at least 4 years, and then they pull this shit. Not like you can go get a Weeden jersey or anything.

You wound me, Foggy. I thought you'd want to keep that beautiful avatar you have right now.

Pretty up in the air for me tonight on who wins. Chip Kelly skeers me.

Since I'm winning this week there won't be a need to change the avatar. It is pretty slick and its growing on me. Doesn't hurt KC has a couple of the best Longhorns in the NFL.
