Not to bash the Chiefs because I want Smith to crush the 49ers but the Chiefs didn't play like a 6-0 team against the Raiders.I rank this game even. I think the Chiefs are either 7 or 9 point favorites, and to be fair, I haven't seen the Texans play this year. But this Texans have nothing to lose with this young QB playing, and the Chiefs have come off an emotional division win against the Raiders.
If the Chiefs defense comes out fired up, the kid is probably fucked. But if he can get a few nice plays going, and gain some momentum... who knows.
I must be the most pessimistic Chiefs fan ever.

They were surprisingly stout against Dallas but that might be the sole opponent they play each year where the entire team gives a shit. Keep in mind that Dallas had a special teams TD and scored twice after getting the ball inside the Washington red zone so the 31 points was a bit misleading in respect to the actual performance of the defense. Now their special teams is special this year. And not in a good way.

It bears repeating: they play the NFC Least and the AFC South (Sour? I got nothing here) this year.
Even that is understating it: they played the Titans' second string QB and play the Texans' third string QB.
Aside from the Colts, the only games they have to worry about are in the division. They're definitely in the playoffs, but are already on my shortlist for "2014 team with most losses compared to 2013".
