So how come Kaepernick only has 7 passing attempts in 2 preseason games? I don't think any starting QB has had fewer attempts then him.

Exactly. When you're a vet of 10 starts this is all just going through the motions. He's supposedly been on fire all preseason though, so they probably just don't think it's worth the injury risk.

Alex Smith only looks good when he has a coach/OC that is smart enough to mask his weaknesses. He looked good briefly under Norv Turner and then again under Harbaugh despite the fact that he can't complete a pass longer than 15 yards. He should be kissing Harbaugh's ass for extending his career by probably 5 years.

On Alex Smith...he's been a steaming pile for most of his career. Let's see if Reid's replacement can get more out of Vick or if Mr. Smoke and Mirrors can push another average QB(Smith) past previous limits one more time.

I figured the o-line would have a tough battle. All those badass 9er defensive boys wanted to get a piece of Smith, and who could blame 'em?

The drops are a different story. That kind of shit makes coaches age visibly.

I really hope the Bucs preseason performances isn't indicative of regular season. I know the offense is leaps and bounds better than what it's shown so far... I hope.

The funny thing about Tebow in that Pats game is he still sucks at throwing, but he plowed through folks when he runs the ball. If he even actually makes the cut, I imagine it will be because of that. Bellichek always loves having access to non-standard players ;P
