Ehhhhhhh, do you remember who caught the bubble screen and beat every single Pittsburgh defender? That was Demaryius Thomas. They also had Eric Decker. And Brandon Lloyd. And Julius Thomas. And Knowshon Moreno. And a still decent Willis McGahee. And their defense was really good and kept them in games when the offense scored 6 points for 3 1/2 quarters. All the weapons that people gush over Peyton having? Yeah Tebow had all of them, minus Welker. Plus a better defense. Nice revisionist history.

Too bad the only reason Julius Thomas is anybody is because he got Peyton and Peyton loves his tight ends. Peyton is the one who made Decker anybody too. Lloyd is still a nobody and Moreno is a decent blocker but the only reason his run game is doing anything is because, once again, Peyton Manning. Can't really focus on stopping the run when Peyton can just say "ok i'll throw the ball".

Next thing you know you're going to be saying Aaron Dobson, Kenbrell Thompkins and Julian Edelman are superstar recievers because look what Brady has done with them this year. Yeah, it doesn't fuckin work.

Hey you know that guy who was the qb for the worst offense in the league? You know, the guy that wasn't good enough to replace Sanchez? It's bullshit he's not starting right now.
The Jets love Sanchez for some reason and it's definitely not because he's good. Only reason he isn't the starter yet again this year is because of the injury. Nice try tho.

So you are saying Peyton is a good QB and elevates his players. But when they played with Tebow, they suck. Yet according to you, Tebow is a good QB.....

Do you even watch football? Everything you've said has been 100% wrong. They benched Sanchez last year but passed Tebow up and started their 3rd stringer because Tebow was that bad. They were going to make Geno the full time starter this year until he shit the place up in the preseason

I'm saying Peyton is a great QB, all I ever said was that Tebow could replace multiple terrible starting QBs. Never once did I compare Tebow to Brady or Peyton or Rodgers or Brees or even someone like a Carson Palmer.

Was Sanchez the original starting QB for the Jets last year? Oh, he was? Ok thats what I thought.

I think the Vikings is MAYBE the only team where Tebow could be serviceable. Note that I didn't say upgrade. Maybe Cleveland too because Brandon Weeden might suck as much as Tebow.

Tebow couldnt even make the patriots roster this year. Hes done in the NFL as anything other than a means of selling tickets.

What the hell is your point? Sanchez being the starter at the beginning of last year is in no way relevant to what we're talking about.

You said the Jets were sticking with Sanchez because they're in love with him. I pointed out you were wrong and they've tried multiple times to replace him. Oh yeah and Sanchez took a team to the AFC championship his first two years, while Tebow missed the playoffs his first year and got bitch slapped in the divisional round the second year. So Sanchez was more of a winner then Tebow ever was

You mean the year when he threw 53% completions with 20 interceptions and only 12 tds while having 12 fumbles but happening to have one of the best defenses in the league at the time?

A quarterback being benched halfway into the season when Rex Ryan has no choice but to bench him or be fired himself doesn't really count as Sanchez not being their go-to guy year after year until he fucks up like he always does and they're forced to take him out of starter position.

Ponder went 10-6 last year. NFL starter. I will listen to no counter arguments but continue to restate this one point for the next 4 hours.

Go.

I like Ponder, personally. He's not great but I don't think he's as horrible as people make him out to be. IMO the Vikings defense is what needs some work, they're just not the men they used to be.

So the same as Tebow had with the Broncos? Except Sanchez took his team much further. Didn't you say "there are stats and there are wins"? Unfortunately, for your retarded argument Sanchez is better tush Tebow in both regards.

Not sure why I'm still arguing with someone who has no clue what the're talking about. Tebow going 7-1, Jets refusing to replace Sanchez except the 2 times they did, etc

This is true. Will Hill went to my high school, he plays for the Giants now, and he literally just outran everyone on the fucking football field.
Went to high school withKevan Barlowfor his senior year. He was an OK RB for the Niners for a year or two. In high school they just gave him the ball and got the fuck out of the way. I remember a bunch of games where he averaged 14+ YPC. Shit was funny looking at the box scores. "80 yard TD, 55 yard TD, 76 yard TD" etc etc. Again, he was merely a decent back in the NFL for like 3 years but just insane in high school in an area with decent competition(Western PA). This was around the same time Lavar Arrington was looking like the best high school player in years nearby.

Reminds me of a post I saw on Reddit a while back. Someone came up with the idea to put a normal, average joe into the Olympic sprints just so people would have a frame of reference into how insane the athletes were. People don't realize just how nuts of an elite athlete even a backup NFL player is.

I grew up and went to school with this guy:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_A...rican_football)

He was basically nothing but a special teams player in the NFL, but was an All-American kick returner in college. Dude was so fast that when we played backyard football as kids and even teenagers, we had to make the rule that he couldnt run, he could only play QB, and wasn't allowed to scramble. Kid would basically just run circles around everyone. Played little league baseball with him too and he would occasionally lay down a bunt for a double. If he hit the ball out of the infield it was a home run he was so fast.

Our Senior year of HS, he had something like 120 carries and 40TD. A TD every 3rd time he touched the ball. And that wasn't against bad competition, we were a large class school. Had a handful of D-1 guys, our QB went on to be a career backup for Drew Brees at Purdue, lol.

All that, and he couldn't even make a starting roster spot in the NFL

It's pretty amazing how many levels of athlete there are. I remember being in my small town Montana High School locker room shortly before graduation and realizing that even though the football team had gone undefeated and won state, there wasn't a single player on the team that had a scholarship to play football in college.

The best "man among boys" spectacle that I have ever seen though, was when I went to my cousin's junior high football game and they were playing a team from the Indian reservation nearby and they had an 18 year old that was in 8th grade. I'm sure there is some rule about that but he was playing anyway. I don't think the guy was destined for the NFL but he could sure as fuck flatten those 8th graders.

Haha, that'd be awesome to witness. I can just imagine him laying a kid out and rubbing it in his face afterwards. No contest.

Jets didn't replace Sanchez twice. He started the one year and this year he didn't because he was injured, otherwise i'm sure he would have.

Also, 1 game farther in the playoffs is not "much further" and Sanchez didn't play the Patriots in the playoffs like Tebow did.
