BAHAHAHAHAHAHA! I just clicked on the best QBR games of the year on ESPN and that shit is hilarious. Did you guys know Kaepernick has the 1st and 3rd best games of the year? And Manning's best game is only 8th, and it's not the one you think? Oh no, the 7td 0int 460yard game against a top rated defense is only Peyton's 7th best game this year. The 58th best overall.
Yeah, 2 of the best QB games this year features Kaeperbro going 10/16 for 1 passing td and 13/21 for 0 passing td, both games under 200 yards passing. Because running is far more important than passing for a QB, obviously.

Well running being more important than passing for a QB is obvious. The real genius is the inclusion of grit because it's a sign of a weak QB if they dominate a game and just run the ball in the 4th quarter. A great QB needs to give up terrible ints early then have a game winning drive in the final minutes. All the stats in the world don't mean Jack if you aren't going on a game winning drive.

That is why QBR is one of the most bs stat there is. It is fitting that is was created by espn.

So Stafford's 3800 yards are nearly as impressive as Manning's 4100 even though like 1300 of Stafford's are to megatron? And who knows how many more yards are while he's drawing double coverage.

I'm not saying it's a good number, just that it's not any more logical to leave out the rushing yards/TDs comparing games as you did in your post. The fact that any QB performance this season is rated above Manning's 7 touchdown game makes it obvious that QBR is a very flawed number.

I said the best QB games "featured" his passing stats and then implied that they were higher because of his rushing stats. All totally accurate. I didn't "leave out" rushing. I didn't say it's logical to ignore QB rushing, I implied that it's retarded to wildly over-rate it to the point that a mediocre passing game can be rated higher than an all-time passing game based on some OK rushing stats.
I love seeing some of you bitch and complain about Kaepernick. You'd think he bent over and butt-raped your entire family. It makes me smile.
You have to understand that every metric measured by QBR is then modified by a clutch weighting, which essentially means that positive plays in close games are worth way fucking more than positive plays in a blowout.
That is the core of QBR, and that is why it's really fucking dumb.

Kaep's #1 game was a 42-10 shellacking of Jacksonville. In fact 3 of the top 4 games were all blowouts. Closest was Kaeps' second game(#3 overall) that was 31-17 over Tennessee. Except all his touchdowns happened before Tennessee scored a single point, so nothing close or clutch there.

Huh. I didn't realize they changed qbr yet again for 2013. It looks like we they completely diminished the role of clutch weighting for 2013, which is good. Running is still unduly weighted, but that doesn't explain the final qbr.
Oh Jesus. The final qbr is based on an abstraction of season points per action play multiplied by an imaginary average number of action plays? The fuck?

If anyone had actually said that, you would have a good point. No one has ever said he was the best QB ever or as good as Steve Young or anything of the sort. You guys just like to imagine that this happened while you are talking trash about him.
