I like that the Dolphins playoff chances aren't so convoluted. All they have to do is beat the Bills and the Jets in Miami. I mean, we did get our asses kicked by the bills earlier this year, so I'm still shitting my pants. But still.

The only reliable thing in the NFL is that the Cowboys and Lions will always lose the game you really want them to win.

Someone out there just got fucked in fantasy by a field goal kicker lol.
True story, that was me! I lost my game by 1 point on that field goal. 50+ yard field goals are worth 10 points in my league. it was only for bragging rights as both us were already eliminated. Just goes to show anything can happen in Fantasy. So glad it didn't mean anything or i would be pissed.

Five 8-8 teams tie (Steelers, Dolphins, Chargers, Jets, Ravens) and the Steelers make the playoffs would probably fuel the argument for more playoff teams.

Its even more unlikely than that. Even if Cards beat Seattle and SF, they'd still need need SF to lose to Atlanta OR Carolina to lose to Atlanta AND New Orleans. Of course, if Arizona manages to somehow beat Seattle and SF drops the ball against the Falcons, the Cardinals-49ers week 17 game would then be a playoff game.

I love this scenario, Fins are the 2 seed, patriots miss the playoffs!

Almost a real possibility. Would require Dolphins winning out and Ravens winning out. Bengals have too lose to the Ravens but beat Minnesota at home. All this seems possible until the last thing, which is Patriots lose to the Bills at home in the final week. I don't see that happening. Even if its unlikely, i'm praying for this to happen!

I have Tucker in all three of my leagues and the one I needed him most doesn't award any bonuses for length. Still, ten points is just stupid.
Seriously. Taco would win the title in that league.

Also, this masterpiece.

Ravens win Sunday plus Miami and SD losses would clinch the wildcard spot for Baltimore. Of course if we won out we'd clinch the division which I assume would make the Bengals the 6th seed unless they lose this week too maybe?

If Baltimore wins out you guys take the division, and Miami(if they win out also) would take the 6th seed because they own the tie-breaker over the Bengals. Winning out is probably your best chance; I don't want to consider them wins, but Miami gets to play @Bills and then hosts the Jets...

Simply winning games is always the best thing even if you need "help". But if we had the 6th clinched it would at least be less stressful going into that last game.

The #1 strategy for success in all sports is to never lose any games but for some reason nobody does it.

Lol. That D is hardly as bad as Dallas though. They did give up on the run too easily. I don't know why the fuck they weren't running on 3rd and short when he threw that first pick. Bush had been gashing us all night.
I've come around on the Cowboys passing late like they were. The Packers were stacking 8 in the box every time so they weren't going to keep that 7 yards a carry going. And every Dallas fan knew the Packers were scoring a td every time they got the ball. So the choice was either take 1:30 off the clock each possession with 3 and out runs or stay aggressive and hope you can keep up.

If the Cowboys run on that play then they punt and Packers drive and take the lead anyways. They still had a minute 30 seconds left when they went to the victory formation, so time wouldn't have been a factor. If the O line doesn't forget this Clay Matthews guy or if Romo throws it better then they're all geniuses and staying aggressive was so much better.

Now Dallas has worst of both worlds and the heat is off Kiffin because most sport fans (just read this thread) don't know anything about actual football and herpaderp about Romo and Garrett. If their defense gets 1 stop, or even a fg, in the entire second half then Dallas wins. I completely expect Cousins and Foles to put up 400 yds each even though the Eagles will clinch the division this week

Or option C: let Romo audible out of the play and go FullRomo and throw a soulcrushing pick.

I love the mental gymnastics required to excuse that shit. "Well the Packers would have scored and the combined hot air from their cheering fanbase would have accelerated global warming and melted the icecaps and drowned millions in coastal cities. Really the Cowboys and Saint Romo saved the world by shitting it up to impressively! We should be praising them for their foresight!!"

It wasn't an audible. But knowing that would require football knowledge beyond parroting what analysts tell you
