IF the Chiefs make the Superbowl, and consequently monkeys fly out of my ass, I hope they play the Packers.

It'll probably end up being Seattle and Denver though. Bleh.

The # 1 seeds have only both made it to the Superbowl 3 times in 47 years. I just made up both of those #'s, but I think the point is good if you look it up.

Go Saints.

Yeah, that's the thing about single-elimination playoffs. It's exciting, but it doesn't always crown thebestteam. It's not like you can have a 7-game series in football, though, so it's the best we can do. Every team in the playoffs right now has a chance at winning 3-4 games in a row and being Super Bowl champions. And if the Bengals/Chargers/Packers win, everyone will be talking about how they were obviously the best team in the league this year and we missed all of the signs.

Super Bowl champions are the best team, every other team is just a random collection of bitch ass motherfuckers who didn't try hard enough.

And this year the Saints will be that team, because it will win me money.

I find the KC/Indy and SF/GB games to be the most interesting. Unfortunately I probably won't be able to watch the GB game because I'll be black out by then from celebrating a lifetime first viewing of a playoff win or drinking away my sorrows to another year of playoff impotence.

True, the seeding rarely works out, but this year seems to be the exception. No one has gotten hot recently, and the seeds are largely as they should be. So all things equal, I am giving the win to the team without the travel and at home.

E.g. I think the Seahawks and 49ers are basically equal. But when you give one team home field and a week's rest, and you give the other pneumonia, hypothermia, and frostbite, the choice seems rather clear.

I don't think they are basically equal. The Seahawks crushed them at home and barely lost in San Fran. They are the better team. That being said anyone can play shitty or hot, any given sunday and all that.

SF has gained a few players and Seattle has lost a few since the first game in Seattle. Seattle lost at home to the Cardinals and the Cardinals lost at home to the 49ers the following week.

Personally I think Seattle, San Fran, and Carolina are the best teams in the league. I will be surprised if one of those 3 doesn't win the superbowl.

Yeah I don't really disagree with you about those 3 teams. I think all 3 are really solid.

I assumed the weak link for the Colts would've been talent at receiver and a streaky Luck. But apparently it's the defense.

Edit: Chiefs defense isn't looking hot either.
