Watching a game after you already know the outcome doesn't sound that great.
It's not. If my team won I can still enjoy the game but if I find out my team lost I don't usually watch the game. That said, it's not that hard to avoid spoilers for a couple hours. The Packers game 2 weeks ago was the only one that I was tempted to fast forward to the end on because I was so damn nervous I wanted to see what happened but I didn't do it.

Poor Percy. Dude got straight fucking JACKED UP against the Saints. (I kind of hate ESPNS gay ass sunday football coverage but I kind of miss that segment they used to do before concussion awareness) First game back in a while and gets fucking blasted before halftime. It kind of seemed like bad luck, mixed with the defenders blood being up. Its weird how NFL defenders home in on vulnerable/uncertain offensive players. If those DB's know little Percy is coming off an injury, and is injury prone, they are going to come with a little extra when he touches the ball. Its just the way it is. Unfortunate either way.

I think Russel Hustle Wilson has to complete more than 10 passes for the Hawks to win this game. If he goes like, 11-24 - 140 PY - 1 TD - 1 INT then they lose. Marshawn Lynch is going to have a good game regardless IMO, but I dont think Lynch has enough in the tank to withstand 30+ touches against this defense. I can see him breaking a big run, and maybe getting in the endzone, but I doubt he has a transcendent performance which seals the Seahawks victory regardless of the other areas of the game. Just not gonna happen in a NFC Championship game against a ruthless, disciplined defense with only one real weakness (Donte Whitner).

So yeah, I think this game comes down to Wilson for the Hawks, and if he continues to trend in this down direction, the 49ers are going to win rather convincingly. As far as the 12th man and all that, I think there has to be diminishing returns once the sound level gets to a certain point. The 49ers couldnt have done any worse last time up there, so I mean, how much more can the crowd noise really affect the game?

The way the Niners offense got trash canned in Seattle means it doesn't matter if the 12th man is louder or has more of an effect. They already showed they couldn't handle the regular season influence from the noise. Plus they were played close by Seattle at home. Barring Russel Wilson playing the worst game of his career (possible) and a no show from Lynch and the Seahawk's defense (pretty unlikely), this game isn't going to even be close.

I'm not sure about that. This is playoffs and everyone has to admit now that Jim Harbaugh is a pretty good fucking coach. They'll be prepared. I'm expecting a very close defensive game with one or two big plays (Lynch or Gore) being the only difference.

Harbaugh is a good coach. It just isn't easy for preparation to cope with the total and complete inability to communicate verbally on the offensive side of the ball when all it takes is one miscue to start the downward spiral from Kaep that we've seen when a defense rattles him early.

Srry not buying that.

Kaepernick has only really wilted in a handful of games, and yes 90% of those games were against this opponent they will face tomorrow night, but to act like he is the type of QB who regresses on the big stage or under pressure is garbage.

The guy plays better during the postseason, its a fact. He has also responded well to things going against him, and has shown he has the ability to bring this team back from a deficit, unlike Alex Smith. If people think Kap is the weak link on this Niners team, you are either a half-wit, or a hater. He lead this team to 8 straight wins, and 8 road wins this year. Pretty fucking impressive for a second year starter. He is also undefeated on the road in the playoffs, so to say this guy is anything but up to the task is retarded.

Russel Wilson on the other hand, is a diferent story. He has averaged 140 yards passing over the last 5 weeks. Thats fucking downright awful.

Read what people write. Kaep does have a habit of wilting when things go badly for him early. It has nothing to do with being on a big stage or a little stage. In fact I will say that the severity of the game doesn't effect him and that is a huge plus for him. However when a defense punches him in the mouth early or forces a turnover or two he does get shaken and put off his game. Much more then is normal for a decent starting QB in this league. The first Panthers game and the first Seahawks game are perfect examples of this. The 12th man and the chippy as fuck Seahawks secondary is tailor made to cause the early miscues.

Also, who the fuck said anything about Alex Smith?

And the NCCCG when they were down by 17 and Super Bowl when they were down 24 or 28 show what you're saying isn't entirely accurate either.

If you want to see a game where elite quarterback play could dominate the game the early game is the one for you. The game shouldn't be all on Kaepernick's shoulders to begin with. If it comes to that I really think a certain wearer of pleated khaki pants will be the one with explaining to do.

Obviously SF will win or lose tomorrow and in a potential super bowl matchup based on its ability to run the ball and play defense. The 12th man shit shouldn't rattle a proven commodity like Frank Gore at all, assuming they can limit mistakes like noise induced false starts, delays of game, etc. Find a way to move the chains on the ground and punish excessive men in the box with Davis, Boldin, etc. Fundamental football since forever. You don't need Tom Brady to do that.

Besides, it's the conference title game. We're past making excuses, especially when the excuse would be crowd noise getting to your quarterback. If they can't book a trip to the Super Bowl because of crowd noise that's cool, have fun on the golf course next week. Tired of hearing about how crowd noise could actually be a game breaker for one of the 4 best teams in football.

I am a huge fan of the NCCCG and hopefully there will be no 30+ minute breaks in this game.

If you or anyone here think Kaepernick threw 3 pics the last game was because of crowd noise are fucking delusional. I think the 49'ers have a shot at this, but they need the AAA game to do it.

Nah! Crowd noise has NOTHING to do with their 15-1 home record over the last two years..
So are you saying Kaepernick is saying things to his receivers when he threw those picks? Pretty sure with no crowd and just the 49'ers team on the field they wouldn't hear him.

EDIT he got the ball off, and guess what?

I'm not saying the noise has no impact at all...but holy shit, this isprofessional football. This is not some backwoods FCS school coming in to play LSU where they have no chance and get sacrificed in front of a rowdy, drunken, and extremely loud crowd. The 49ers were good enough to make it to NFC title game. I don't think it's wrong to expect them to adapt to the noise and play a good game. Maybe I'm being too "get off my lawn" or whatever, but it's a lame excuse to me. Professional coaches and players should truly prepare for and expect to win on any given Sunday on any field in the league. Especially the teams who are potentially Super Bowl caliber.
