I thought I read "up to" $3M, so might have some incentives that might end up tough to hit. After restructuring David Johnson's contract have to figure he's still their lead guy...and they released Duke Johnson.

Pretty sure I read that some states will allows full capacity for the start of baseball even, so I think it's possible a decent number of fans will be allowed at games next season for football.

I think it's clear that Biden and Fauci think people are going to do half of what they tell them to so they're telling them to do twice as much as is actually necessary. I'll be shocked if the NFL doesn't have full stadiums this fall.

Then again I would have said the same thing at this time last year.

Why wouldnt Bill try and go reshape his legacy going forward by drafting a new QB for the franchise, starting a new relationship and mentorship with a young talent he can help develop into a quality starter? Instead, he has married himself to Newton for another year, possibly wasting 2 years of Patriot success in the twilight of his career. He must not like any of the Qbs in this draft or something, or he knows he isnt going to be able to get Jimmy G.

Which fucking sucks because now the 49ers wont be trading or getting rid of him for another season as well.

I mean I get bringing him back on the cheap, but while that's not a huge contract it's not exactly nothing either. Also, not sure throwing a rookie QB out there without addressing the other offensive issues would work out too well either. Also, Bill is old, not sure he wants to start from scratch.

For the Bucs, there's likely 1 more big contract restructure/extension needing to be done, to just be able to pay Shaq and 1-2 of the other great roleplayers (Suh, AB, Gronk, etc). Evans said he'll restructure, so he can probably save the team another ~10ish million.

From a roster standpoint, there's little reason why they can't bring back the entire team and will go into the draft just building depth. Great position to be in if they can really get everyone back
