I didn't understand why I was getting so much pushback over what was a very common opinion and then I realized I wasn't exactly being clear.

On April 29th, 2021, picking Jamarr Chase over Penei Sewell was a terrible decision.
Waddle is better than Chase anyways.

NFL HoF is probably the worst one of the major sports. It's just pretty nonsensical who gets in and doesn't. Basketball HoF lets like half the league in so that's pretty bad the other way, MLB actually has the best balance in general, but they really fucked the dog with the steroid era guys.

You'd think Hester being the first (and only?) player to ever get a max speed score in Madden would have made him a first ballot.

Chase has had arguably the greatest rookie WR year ever. Only Randy Moss could be considered better. Entirely possible Chase ends up a generational type of player and you literally said "picking Chase was a terrible decision".

You can't say there was no guarantee he'd be worth it while also acting like an OL pick would be a guarantee. You're using the same logic for picking an OL as you are for not picking a WR.

Could make a case for Justin Jefferson up there with great rookie seasons at WR. Aside from TD's his numbers last year and Chase's this year are eerily similar.

Jefferson 2020: 88 catches, 125 targets, 1400 yards, 7 TD
Chase 2021: 81 catches, 128 targets, 1455 yards, 13 TD

TD's do tend to fluctuate a little year to year, and Chase had 17 games versus 16. Jefferson upped his TD total to 10 this year with a worse QB in Cousins v. Burrow.

I will say that it might not have been the exact same logic picking an OL as WR in this case. NFL coach calls Penei Sewell the one 'surefire Hall of Famer' in 2021 draft class

Chase only played two snaps in Game 17 and that was so he could beat Chad Johnson's single season yardage record. Two catches for 26 yards and then they pulled him.

Frankly Jefferson wasn't used as much the first couple weeks last season, either. Only 3 targets in each of first two weeks and he wasn't even starting at that point. Averaged 8.5 targets a game the rest of the way.

Sounds like he wasn't good enough to compete to me!

Was talking to my boss about Mike McDaniels the other day and we were joking about how if the 49ers would of still gotten the compensatory draft picks if McDaniel's father was half black, and not full black. What if McDaniels was 25% mexican? Would he still be classified bi-racial/multi racial.

Not only that, but something is OFF with McDaniels. The NFL is up to something regarding this hire and the Flores lawsuit.....hear me out.

Out of nowhere, McDaniels was floated as a possible candidate for the Miami job. He wasnt linked to any other job as far as I know or can find. Fast forward to last week when the Dolphins released the video and presser of McDaniels with his wife and daughter getting off the plane etc. After the introduction, people were obviously curious about the guy and his family, Dolphin fans wanted to learn about their new head coach.

Except that him and his wife dont have any socials. In 2022, a 30 something year old guy, and his 30 something year old wife, who were born in the 1990's or late 80's, and they did not have ANY SOCIAL MEDIA ACCOUNTS OR ACTIVITY? Wow, ok. Thats fine.

But go ahead and try to google "Mike McDaniel's father". NOTHING.

No nothing as far as trying to find any information or a picture of his "black" father. If you try to dig and find any socials for his mother, again, not much. (there is a picture of here out there but thats about it) Apparently she doesnt have a social media either. So it seems like there isnt any surface information concerning his "black" father or any family photos or evidence of his extended family.

And lastly, when asked about what he identifies as after being hired in Miami, he said "I identify as a human but my dad is black" or something to that effect. What? He is basically saying he lives life as a white man, but is cool with accepting opportunities based off of the "fact" his father is black. lol. We need to get the Reddit detectives on this one.

Something is fishy. How big of a scandal would it be for the race people on both sides if it is revealed his father actually isnt black but like a quarter black or something and looked like a white dude?

Haven't you been paying attention? Race is governed by the one drop rule these days.

There sure are a lot of idiots who think they can tell how black someone is by the shade of their skin as authoritative fact.

I never said Dolphins are racist. Just the NFL is discovering interesting ways to fight racism is all.

And thanks for the picture of his dad I couldnt find anything. His dad seems black enough, one of his grandparents is clearly black so at the least hes quarter black. I wonder how joggers feel about the quarter black people lol.

You know how there's something substantial there when Jozu, our resident intellectual, posts a thousand word conspiracy theory.
