As a Cowboys fan, I will say that the ONLY color commentator that people actually turned the TV on to listen to regardless of who was playing was John Madden. And the ONLY play-by-play guy people turned the TV on for was Howard Cosell. If you weren't one of those 2 guys, people turned the TV on for the game itself, and it could have been you and me doing the play-by-play/commentary and people would still watch.
Damn I wish this was happening a year earlier. I finally have internet capable of streaming now and being able to watch 49ers games out of season is the only reason I still have DirecTV now. Aikman doesn't bug me to much, he'll be better than what Monday Night had going last year. I've read they may try and somehow get Buck to come with Aikman, not sure how that would work(he's still under contract I believe)
You actively like Joe Buck? I honestly wasn't sure there was such a person on this planet. In fairness I hate him less when he does football than I do when he does MLB, but he's bad either way.
Yeah I'm interested. I usually prefer to pay for my entertainment and once Sunday Ticket is available on the net I will probably pay for it but keeping my $150/month DirecTV for another year is a bridge too far for me.
