For the Chargers this means you will interview him, make an offer, get excited, and right at the 11th hour a team like Chicago or Washington swoop in with a deal your cheap owner isn't willing to match. For a good while you were winning the offseason but blew it at the end.

Sounds about right if he ends up being a good coach. If he's going to be a failure, we'll land him and it will be that one time Spanos isn't a cheapass.
