Long time ago, I was a Colts season ticket holder for a few years, until we moved out of state. Going to be in Indy this weekend and thought I might take the kids to see a game since I have not been in the stadium since the "new" one was built and I seldom get them on TV in my area. HOLY FUCK these ticket prices. How in the hell are they filling stadiums? It's going to be at least a grand to take a family of four and get decent seats?
As an experience with your kids it will be worth every cent.

As an experience watching football it won't be worth a dime. NFL is one of the few sports that is better on TV than in person. And the stadium experiences do little to improve that.

College football is a much better in person experience, for the atmosphere and the football.

Yeah I was also looking at maybe going to watch the Saturday game at my alma mater. Much cheaper. Richer experience in many ways. They jack the fuck out of the hotel prices though.

Anymore if I'm going to an NFL game I just ball out. It's expensive but the perks stack up when you think about lines, shitty bathrooms, nosebleed views. I spent $465 for club seats for the Bengals-Niners game next weekend and I have no regrets.

Is it just me or has the entire NFL 'product' gone downhill? I was telling my wife that this was the 1st weekend that I saw a game that was borderline exciting and there is no real 'good' team. Also during the regular season I usually could not keep up with the current NFL forum thread due to activity, now it seems like a dead zone.

Keeping in mind I'm a Panthers fan so, you know , use small words
Cutting the preseason to 3 games hurts the product as first stringers do not get nearly enough reps in about 2-1/2 quarters worth of in game reps before the season starts.

That has probably had an impact. But the training camp powder-puff rules installed through the CBA has done far more to degrade the quality of early NFL games than anything else that has happened.

plays taps, so much for the they might be better than i thought they would be as i posted in week 2.

patriots are WORSE!!! their play right now brings me back to the late 70's early 80's (yes i remember them, they SUCKED back then-hell i went a game in 87/88? and they got blown out by the Jets! by like 24 pts.

oline cannot block tissue paper. worst line play i have ever seen on the team by FAR.

half of the receivers suck, especially JUJU and Parker. however Bourne is looking good, at least he can catch the ball if it lands on your fucking hands.

personally, i think obrien, should focus on the run (elliot looks the better of the RB's atm) and then try to bring the rookies (douglas and boutte)and thornton up to speed with irl game time. cut/ir/whatever juju and parker. MAybe one of them can create separation/get open/catch the fucking ball.

side note. doing ok with sports betting, i have tripled initial my stake so far and am upping my initial 5 dollar bets to 10 each. i just do for fun(and have only put in 25 dollars into the account to start), and IF i end up at over 1000 won, will take the wife on a trip to aruba (i have a friend/client that owns a condo in Aruba)

I feel really bad for "fans" of a franchise who won 6 Super Bowls in 18 years and went to 9 of them...

Yeah me too since the Panthers were one of those and it was a heart breaker. At least when Denver kicked the shit out of our manchild QB we never really had a chance , but losing by 3 to the Pats was a heartbreaker.

ROFL.

guys, i am Older than a lot of you (57) UNTIL kraft bought the Patriots in 1993 - except for 1985 season - the patriots were the epidemy of mediocre to Suck football. so i had to deal with being bad for decades at a time too.

main difference is BRADY stayed healthy and was around for a long time - 20ish years- with high quality of play- someone did a stat than brady when he was a patriot NEVER played a regular season game with his team not having playoff contention- and the few times the pats did not make the playoffs, they had a chance until the last game was over for the season. that is unheard of.

if Mahomes stays healthy his chiefs might go on another run of extended time - maybe 15 years of the chiefs always being in contention. it has already been 5 years i do not see him faltering- barring injury for at least another several years. and if that happens, everyone will hate the chiefs just like they hate the patriots now.

You prefer 80’s Cheerleaders or 2023?

What kind of question is that?

Looks like Derrick Henry might be on the trade block. Any predictions on who will take him as a rental? These trade predictions look a bit too lopsided, I don't see him going for more than one, maybe two mid to late picks. I wouldn't mind seeing the Lions take a shot at him with Montgomery out, I think he'd be a beast behind that line. Would be a lot wrapped up in the backfield with Gibbs, Montgomery, and Henry though.

I'd never spend $465 to watch my team get their asses whipped by the 9'ers but that's just me.

That's a pretty good start. What's your strategy (single games, parlays, props?).

You should post your picks here so we can all take our wives to Aruba.
