To be clear, the 49ers (or another West) team could still snatch the 7th seed from the Packers this year.

But given that _everyone_ assumes the 49ers would have to shed significant salary once they paid Purdy this offseason, this year's performance makes me think that at best they'll be a Stars and Scrubs team for the next few seasons, a threat when their starters are healthy, and an also-ran as soon as even a couple of them go down.
So basically what they are now. And what the Rams are really. Most teams are in this boat, really, with the longer season and ever thinning talent pool to fill out 32 rosters. I can't think of any team out there that does not have a huge talent drop off from their starters. Well outside the teams that already suck so much dick that its not impactful when the bench warmers go in. And maybe the Lions, considering their scrubs put up another 13 against the Jags when the game was already long over.

And unless the Packers have a total collapse, they are going to be the 5 seed. For all of Loves sophomore issues, we are still finding ways to win.

Talking to my British MIL, she was talking about how Thanksgiving had not been as commercialized as Halloween and Christmas. I told her that Thanksgiving was my favorite holiday by far and it wasn't even close.
Now she's British so give her the benefit of the doubt but she was all like 'all family together and spending time together' and I said 'um yeah I was thinking more like football is on all day and I can eat very well but we can go with that too. '

They have to change the ineligible rule in the offseason.. give the lineman a yard or two of extra leeway. So many big plays called back b/c of it.

True this year has turned into flag football , but it's penalty flags.

Cowboys announce that their lead running back is now officially the starter and no more RB by committee.

That RB averages 1 yard per carry in the first half.

I have a theory. I think jerrah believes Andy Reid is the cowboys head coach. But no, he accidentally hired the fat ass who can't coach.

Dowdle has been clearly better than the rest all year, dipshits wasted too much time giving him the reigns. Now without Dak, zero reason to fear the pass so it's not like it's going to help the run game at all.

Thanksgiving is so far from commercialized though. Look at how many retailers go from putting Halloween stuff out, and then all the Christmas stuff is on the shelves Nov. 1.

Yeah there's Thanksgiving stuff, but it's cooking and tablesetting stuff.

Yeah thanksgiving is only commercialized by grocery stores, and they're not built for that.

The shot :

I'm wondering if there are any places taking bets on WHICH of those will not come true and mathematically eliminate them first.
