Hes 73 and coached the Seahawks for 13 years. He isnt long for another gig. Great culture builder but roster building and scheming passed him by a long time ago. Bears should push hard for Vrabel or Johnson not Carroll.
You can sorta get why a Belichick would sign up for a college program, since its a much harder reset year-to-year, and the whole "Is this a stealth play to get his son in the spot in a year or two*"
But Carroll? He's relatively old, the division is brutal to expect them to buy/draft their way to excellence in a season, and there is no heir apparent.
*Insert traditional "and get a discount for his girlfriend's college tuition" joke here.
It's a fun stat but like a lot of sports stats is a bit silly. Chiefs still average 24 points a game (and #1 defense on PPG) -- they're just painfully consistent, whether they're getting 400 yards or 200 yards of offense.
No doubt. Nobody can really shit on the chiefs when they really are a solid team. Almost never make mistakes, almost always make the right calls. Like against Pitts when they had the dropped pass that wasn't called they executed the next play so fast that Tomlin couldn't even challenge. That's just good shit.
