Won't take too many more offensive injuries to the Ravens to turn the AFC into Buf vs KC.

Edit: I've got the Bengals winning later, which means the Chargers are the 5th seed? Makes the last couple Chargers seasons extra disappointing.

Chargers have to win tomorrow with Pitt loss to move up I think

Watch the pats duck up their draft by beating the bills today...

That said I am optimistic about next year...IF the patriots solidify their oline with 2 new oline players..AND manage to sign a high end receiver. Maye looks like he could be a franchise QB. The pats HAVE the money, just have to spend it.

Their center Andrews should be back from injury. So if pats get the 1st pick trade it down to 3-4 for a bunch of picks and draft the best oline player in the draft. That is 1 sign a free agent online or two that is 2, then sign a #1 wide and they could do the worst to playoffs run potentially worst to first(division not conference).

Not that concerned coaching wise ATM Mayo was..ok to poor as first time first yr coach but they were in a bunch of games and could have won 3 or 4 more if luck went their way. I don't think they will ditch him after just the first season...they suck it up next year, he is gone.

But Dickerson did it in 16 games - Barkley would have needed a 17th.

Hell, if we want to be accurate, Barkley achieved less yards in 16 games than all of the following:
Adrian Peterson (2012), 2,097
Jamal Lewis (2003), 2,066
Barry Sanders (1997), 2,053
Derrick Henry (2020), 2,027
Terrell Davis (1998), 2,008
Chris Johnson (2009), 2,006

And even then, on a per game basis, OJ Simpson in '73 still beats all of them, with 2,003 in just 14 games.

Barkley needed 2 more games to get 2 more yards than OJ - those aren't comparable achievements.
I always thought that record should be looked at as a yards per game over the entire season because of how often they change the number of games.

Yards per carry is good too, but it doesn't take durability into account.

So many different things go into that stuff.

Era, competition, OL, other offensive threats.

ED was the team when he set the record, they knew he was getting the ball all game long. At the end of the day us nerds can use stats to argue anything.

I'm just glad there are still RBs getting the ball enough and doing so well considering how marginalized the position has become.

You're delusional.

Games that matter today.
None of the wildcard teams have set slots yet - e.g. if Cowboys beat Commies and Packers beat Bears, then Commies are NFC 7th seed and Packers move up to 6th. Similarly, if Chargers beat the Raiders (seems likely but not guaranteed), the Chargers move to 5th seed and Steelers slide to 6th.

That's also ignoring major impacts on draft seeding, such as "Are the Bills resting enough starters to give the Patriots the win, pushing the Patriots from current 1st overall pick to 4th+?"

Milton looks good for the patriots... Granted it is a meaningless game and mostly bills backups but has not missed a pass yet, and looks sharp. And my pats are going g to fuck up the draft prediction is coming true...well so far.
