I
Glad I missed it due to the family taking my dad and I out to dinner for our birthdays.

That was fucking putrid, but not surprising.

Dunno why but that shit made me angry. Fucking waste of talent.

Just a miserable day of football. Hopefully TB / Was will be good tomorrow?

I think I speak for everyone in this thread that these two games ruin my football day and beer buzz.

Lamar looked pretty good tonight. Still think people are nuts who think he actually can't win a Super Bowl. Still I'm a little surprised Houston won, but neither team eliminated tonight was going to make any real noise (nor will the Texans). Assuming Buffalo takes care of business tomorrow the AFC will predictably come down to KC v Buff/Balt winner.

He took at least one bad hit, ran ALOT.

He never had to pass in this one really and they were missing Flowers. Either the Steelers D just couldn't stop the run or they made a questionable decision to let the Ravens not have to beat them in the air.

Reality is the Steelers offense is dogshit so they barely had to try this game.

The question every year is can a guy that relies on running to make him a dual threat QB survive the NFL season and playoff defenses to win it all.

Now before you go telling me how great a passer Lamar is you have to recognize the fact that a big part of his passing success relies on defenses being terrified of his running ability or him scrambling to keep drives alive.

He's gotten better as a passer (helps they actually drafted a couple decent receivers, too, as Andrews has aged), but he still should not be dropping back and throwing it 30-40 times a game. Difference this year is with Henry they have another pillar to lean on. It'll also prevent their coaching staff (you would think) of not repeating the same stupid mistake they made last year v KC only handing the ball off to their running backs SIX total times in a game that was never further apart than 10 points.

I agree that's part of what helps his passing game, but he also knows that and uses it to much better effect nowadays. Helps that on average his receivers are more open than any other group in the league.

Chargers game was hilarious 🤷
It was fucking hilarious until it wasn’t. How does that dumbass throw only 3 interceptions all season than proceeded to break a NFL record 4 INT in one playoff game with that regular season stat.

Yeah Lamar looked phenomenal. I was blown away with some of those juke and jive madden runs. I do think this is his year and if he doesn’t do it I don’t know if he ever will. Also to be fair the Steelers suck ass and their defense was shit.

bills ravens will be a great game

It's weird, I'm completely not nervous at all for our game v Tampa tomorrow. Legit feels like unless we look like absolute shit and Daniels has a meltdown that makes one think he can't perform in playoffs we're just so far ahead of schedule with a ton of cap space and draft picks to keep improving, whenever our run this year ends.

Yeah, first I thought Tampa would win but now I’m leaning towards Washington

He should be in same category as Trevor Lawrence and Daniel Jones.
This is a fairly strong contender for the dumbest post of the entire season, although if we had a tournament to determine the dumbest post of the entire season we all know this post would be eliminated right away because it's about the Chargers.

Herbert will likely end up as Rivers 2.0. The Chargers can put together what should be a good team, but always manage to fuck up something critical.
And Rivers was just Romo 2.0. The Chargers continue to prove they are just AFC Cowboys.

Vrabel was pretty obvious, but I think it's a good hire as long as they can get right offensive coordinator to develop Maye. They really blew it losing #1 pick, though, they could have traded down staying in the top 5 and gotten a haul.

That's why Mayo was fired so damn quickly. He knew he was gone and was hoping to go out on a good note while fucking them over at the same time. All these teams can say what they want but the reality is that a #1 pick is worth a shitload. He fucked them hard and Kraft responded. Vrabel isn't amazing but he's better than Mayo. I'm sad the Pats will start to get wins again.
