Well it was extremely satisfying to watch the Vikings yearly late season meltdown and the subsequent rage sperging of their fans. Eagles aside, pretty much all the remaining NFC Teams are ones anyone can feel good about rooting for, but I think this is still the Lions season to lose. AFC, not so much as I think Texans were super chippy all season and made (vomits in mouth) the Bills the most likable remaining team and I think if they can knock off the Baltimore Stabby Birds they should make it to the Superbowl. Only game I got wrong all weekend was the Chargers losing, but thats on me for thinking for one moment Harbaugh could somehow stop the Chargers from Chargering.
Rest of the season I see Lions beating Redskins in a track meet, Rams continuing to be scrappy and grinding out a win against the rusty as fuck Eagles, the Bills edging past the Ravens in a close trackmeet type of game, and finally the KC Refs pushing them past the Strouds. Shit talk aside, any of those games could go either way rather easily, but I think the KC Defense makes the Texans the biggest underdogs next weekend. I expect the Lions and Commies to have the closest game unless Detroit keeps exceeding expectations with their Benchwarmer Defense. Ravems have shit the bed too many times in playoff games to take them seriously against Buffalo. And the Eagles offense has been reduced to just stop Barkley to contain them, which I believe the Rams are more than capable of. This will lead to a very interesting championship weekend. Detroit is probably too banged up to prevail over the Bills in their current form, but have this nagging feeling that KC's deal with satan is still intact enough to have the NFL rig shit to give black jesus his threepeat. If THAT happens, I think the Lions get a ring based on recent history.
Either way, the Widcard Round was some of the most predictable football of the year but watching the Vikings get destroyed and the Redkins squeek by the Bucs were both great games. This Division Round week might be the most interesting one we have seen in years, however. And for the Packer haters out there, you might get your wish. This team feels like its the Chargers of the NFC with the potential but never quite putting it all together or bad breaks (literally in the case of our injuries). I hope not, because being in the playoffs every year and crapping out is pretty much wjat our MO has been since McRib blundered into a ring, If our window is going to open its likely two years from now, but I anticipate Washington and Houston to both be in their window in the same timeframe, and the Lions are going to be owning the division for at least 3-4 more years. Interesting times ahead.
