Yeah I think very small countries can focus on one or two events and get a medal to top this table.

New Zealand, Hungary, Australia and Netherlands are more impressive being more regular size countries at the top of this list. I had no idea Hungary even won any medals.

Did you see who is bottom?

Normal countries have 500,000 to 2,500,000 per medal. India and Pakistan are closer to 250,000,000 per medal and off by x100.

the 2 gold medals for algeria have controversy, we know about the man boxer, but the gymist is also. she is a born french and qualified for the olympic team but france made a ruling that she has to travel to paris (she lives in some rural shithole)and train under new coaches (official france olympic coaches), away from her parents in order to compete. she didn't want that so she registered under algeria cuz her father is a dual citizen and she won gold for algeria instead.

Did you watch the dance that qualified her for the olympics? Better than what she did in paris, but the other girl still beat her so badly that it was hard to watch. Did she let the judge fuck her in the ass or something?

This, the logistics and cost involved are pretty crazy. It’s a miracle any number of things happen and tank the whole event.

There must be some pretty crazy stories about barely avoided disasters.
