I could be wrong or maybe it's supposed to be the first modern movie. There could have been an old B movie of some sort that did it, but I can't think of one off the top of my head.

I just remember when the movie was coming out bloody disgusting was covering it on their website, and they were all excited because it was fast zombies. That might be why I'm thinking that but they could have been wrong.

So many movies and shows to go watch talking about this. It was probably me you're referring to when it comes to sound track. Im going to the high seas to watch again

Pretty sure 28 Days later was the first movie to introduce the concept of fast zombies, and at the time it was a big thing. Still a great movie and I do enjoy the second one but not as much as the first. It's like somebody else stated I think earlier the soundtrack for the first film is just fantastic.

I think the next movie after that was Zack Snyder's remake of Dawn of the Dead that use that idea, and it's still a decent film.
Nightmare City was the first I can think of that introduced the concept of fast zombies.

I just really remember the soundtrack being great and I think I had downloaded a version of it at some point and listen to it when playing the secret world. Was perfect music for that type of game.

Really reminded me of this instrumental prog band
called Godspeed you Black Emperor I used to listen to back in college.

Hope you take the time to enjoy this, if you do I think you'll understand what I had talked about earlier. Really cool band, and sounded so similar to the OST of the film...

Take your time and actually listen to the entire 15 minute video, and I think you might end up agreeing with me...

This is going to be multiple films and Boyle is directing the first.

The big wtf is the director for the 2nd film, Nia Dacosta, the brilliant mind behind The marvels.... Seriously wtf

Hmm, must admit, I'm slightly interested. I like Fiennes and Aaron Taylor-Johnson. I really liked the original film and the sequel was entirely forgettable so we'll see where this lands.

It was actually a decent trailer in that it didn't give away the whole of the movie, too. One of the zombies kind of looked like Cillian Murphy, so I wonder if he will have any part in the film.

Not for theater, but I will watch this. I think this and the idea of a fungus taking over are the two best principles that "could" happen. That to me, is what makes it scary. I still think they should have done 28 months later, and then gone to years...

28 Days Later was my top tier zombie movie when I was younger. It's probably still my favorite to this day. They could not release teasers, trailers, etc. and I would still be in opening weekend.

Trailer gives me the impression this will be good, looks more post apocalyptic than Zombie

Hell yeah! I rewatched the first two over Halloween. This one looks great especially now that they've got the original team back. I swear to God I saw Ralph Fiennes in that bone Forest altar setting, or maybe it was somebody that really looks like him.

Edit: all right I didn't see that he's supposed to be in the cast. That's pretty awesome, and I am pretty high hopes for this film.

I'm suspicious in that it looks like it was made for me specifically. What's your angle, movie?

The key thing will be how to they change the rage virus. The main issue it had before is its hosts became pretty mindless and they starved to death.

For this shit to be an issue nearly 30 years later would mean that either the infected are less dumb and can actually live in the wild for extended periods of time or there is some mechanism that infects people still (airborne doesn’t make much sense)

Hats off to the team behind the trailer—it's an absolute masterclass in building suspense. Other trailer makers need to take note, because this is how you tease a movie!
Loved that they used the Boots poem by Rudyard Kipling—brilliantly recited by Taylor Holmes. The poem is about the Second Boer War in South Africa (1899–1902).

Am wondering that as well. There was a brief clip of an emaciated zombie that popped up out of some tall grass or something.

My guess is it has to do something with the mutation from the carrier kid from the second film that had the genetic deal for having two different colored eyes, but also made him immune. I got such a possibility but that also just could be something radically different.

Looking forward to finding out.

The "happy" ending at the end of 28 Days was Studio mandated back then, they could just choose to ignore it
