Watched the first 3 episodes right after mundanely hating Kenobi and was genuinely waiting to trash the show: got me hooked quite fierce but I also was wondering about seeing a lot of "Gilroy" names in the credits, and of fucking course he's the guy who made Michael Clayton, produced Nightcrawler and wrote some of the Bourne movies. This is really good TV, and for Star Wars it's probably the best thing since Empire Strikes Back.

I'm going to assume they did that as a time saving feature, but we will see next week how much (or if) they spend much time on them getting off planet.
If that prison had been on a waterworld, like Kamino or Mon Cala, they would have needed to spend the time on organizing the prisoners and figuring out how to hijack a ship (while not alerting the Empire to the situation). That probably would have taken a whole episode and been a little too similar to them hijacking the ship in episode 6.

Disney gonna show the first two episodes on ABC on the Wednesday night before Thanksgiving and then again on other Disney-owned networks and HULU. Apparently trying to get people to watch as the ratings for this are in the absolute crapper.
If we want to see quality stuff like this in the future we need to get people to watch, otherwise we're just gonna end up with pure fanfic pablum.

Its too fucking slow and boring. How many fucking episodes was in Mon Mothma bleeding out her vagoo and Andor in (the most Rube Goldberg designed) jail? Four episodes could have been condensed down there to one so maybe we see the snippets of the actual decent shit, like Luther doing his thing or the Imp Intelligence officer doing her thing. Instead we got a forever run of Andor at the Build a Robot shop, endless Mon Mothma boredom, and Space Jew and his nanna simping.
I really want to like this show, but the glacial pacing just fucking kills it for me.
