I think if Gilroy had the option there would be only 4 episodes this season, Disney does it this way for Emmy reasons. You have to watch all 3 released every week and look at them as 1 whole episode, I havent started yet cause of the hockey game but thats how I will be looking at this season.

People had a lot of similar complaints in the 1st season, the segments would build slowly and pay off by the end. It has continued with the drop of the first 3 and it paid off. They do such a good job of living in the moment even when we all know how it has to end.

That was the biggest complaint of the first season, for each of the three-episode arcs, the first two probably could have been condensed into a single 'setup' episode.
I personally think these damn kids need to adjust their Adderall schedules, but given the sheer amount of content fighting for people's attention at a click of a button or two, I sort of see their view. They're wrong, but I can sort of see it.

The show where nothing happens is back...... And Luna is doing a low rent Pedro Pascal impression just in time to put off people who actually pay for entertainment instead of stealing it.
That aside, the pace of the first season was way too glacial, ESPECIALLY the three episode prison arc, and the whole Corruscant arc with Mon Mothma just seemed too disconnected from shit we actually wanted to see. Skarsguard was the best part of the show and there simply was not enough of him in it. Ruthless imp blonde was good, but the fucking stupid simp guy dragged her arc down. There is and was potential there, but I think the pacing is probably not going to change and Disney just cannot seem to make anything good anymore.

goddamn Mon Mothma on ectasy dancing like a 90s rave is so hot, i'd kill many bothans for her. Most of the women on this show are hot as fuck, even the imp techie in episode 1 had one phat ass. maybe a bit too jiggly body for most guys but damn that ass
DJ Party Probe Droid was awesome
i know some people are gonna hate the obvious metaphor of immigrants / illegals / farm labor but I thought it was pretty interesting seeing the contrast between most of the galaxy that is scraping to survive (most Americans) and the Chandrilian elite who don't have any depravations and live just as good or better under the Empire (billionaires, politicians).
First 3 is definitely slow but I really enjoy these wide looks at the Empire 4 years before the fall, I don't quite get the relationship incel guy and feminazi have (another super hottie she can mein kampf me any day) but she has a sick apartment.
Next 3 episodes should be another 1 year time jump
