i dont think they're going to push it back. its part of the Hamada era and every other bloated overbudget mess from previous regimes has been shoved out the door to sink or swim. this shouldnt be any different. i think its likelier to get shelved than pushed til next year.

I think it's likely to be released with little promotion over waiting for the strike to end.

However they did spend a lot of money on reshoots. Gunn authorized some of his own reshoots for Aquaman 2. That'd be the only reason WB might push it back is because of the extensive reshoots.

i didnt know they were still reshooting that recently. if he's pulling the plug on Mamoa Aquaman, it doesnt seem logical he would devote more money to the sequel. but whatever, this is the same guy who said the Flash was the best movie ever.

Because of the fact Aquaman 1 was a major blockbuster, they pulled out all the studio meddling stops to try to guarantee this one is another hit.

Despite Gunn already shooting the entire DCU in the foot during a period of what's being called "superhero fatigue" and throwing all the familiar characters and casting in the trash.

Apparently the CEO and Gunn thought the movies was so bad they had like 4 days of reshoots to try and make it better. This was after 2 previous reshoots before Gunn.

the "recent report" was from dec. in may gunn said it still could happen, it was being developed outside of his domain. it would be an elseworld movie like joker

This was going around a few months back. Apparently the guy has been pretty correct on some scoops. It was being shared around by the usual hater YT'ers. Grain of salt with that stuff though.

i hope it is dead, but still listed on imdb. studios seem to turn stupidity to 11 when dealing with abrams, so they might be best for them to just keep kicking it down the road over cancelling it outright.

He was born to play Lobo. Aquaman, not so much.
