I mean its going to, and has to.

Vi and Caitlyn are two of the main characters, arguably THE. absolutely the audience surrogates. The heart and soul of the good guys, and represent Zaun, and Piltover peacefully working together. Literally, "piltover peacekeepers". while everyone else is vying for progress, control, glorious evolution, etc.
They also basically just got their asses kicked all season 1. anything even remotely a hero moment, undercut with killing of children.

so sure, hopefully it focuses more on partners. and less on in lesbians. but I mean, its going to happen for sure as well.

The creator did announce at a con that yes this season was the series finale for Arcane... but that this was only the first series.

I haven't played league in awhile, the only character I recognized was Pantheon.

Everything they have put out for season 2 has not got me excited at all. Not saying it's going to be bad but the clips and marketing has been the opposite of good.

Season 1 was a passion project that took like 7-8 years. This seems rushed and typical Netflix BS but I hope I'm wrong

Nah I think once they finished season 1 and had the tech/processes ironed out it was inevitable that season 2 would come out much faster.

Totally agree. I'm expecting a barely serviceable story. Maybe a 7/10 if we're lucky. But I think they'll hammer some corny ass themes in this which will deter the plot and ruin character development.

But maybe not. Could be another 9+ season.

Honestly, I don't think the story has much left to give and there are more interesting ones in the world they created. Hoping I'm wrong about the first part.

Eh, my hype level prior to watching s1 was maaaybe 2/10 ( animated adaptation of a video game that barely has a plot ? what are the odds THAT would be any good ). I'd probably wait to watch at least the first couple of episodes before deciding that it's all trash instead of going off 30 seconds of promotional clips.

I have no expectation that it will be as good as S1 - that's not based on anything they have released, just that S1 is so good that is statistically unlikely S2 would be as good. I'd be happy to be proven wrong though, maybe it will be more GoT S2 than true detective s2.

It looks like the Noxus girl on the Piltover council, but she left Noxus and probably died end of last season. So I'd guess it's her mother in flashback who is probably going to be an antagonist out for revenge?

No idea of she's a League of Legends.
