Spoilers for.. spoilers. Dont read if you havent watched any, obviously.
I just dont know if Im down with the Hextech shit siphoning off? or polluting? some shit way under ground that is killing the poor peoples tree house. I mean, the premise of the hextech and all of that shit is really cool. But whatever this Shrooms Trip is, is kind of lame. If it starts preaching to me that corporations are bad and killing the environment - I'll be really disappointed in the direction they took the story.

ronne ronne is right in that, the political side of things are much more interesting. I know thats the underlying story about a cities independence is really cool, and opening up trade routes and all of that from season 1 was cool - but I dont care for all of that to be JUST background noise. Really fucking pumped about .. what I assume.. is Warwick's reveal. Viktor's Jesus introduction I want to see way more of, too. Is he going to heal all of these people and have a new religion? etc. etc.

Jesus Fucking Christ. The animation artistry in this is still so fucking high. I an trying to ration the episodes to last all week but its hard to not just watch them all immediately.

I agree with supporting this show.. but hasn't the MMO basically been shelved. Last I heard RIOT is no longer working on it.

tldr; they didn't feel like the game was different enough and would be the industry changer that they want it to be so they hit a reset (likely re-using a lot of the art). It's a love project that they're working on and not talking about it because they've seen what happens when you hype up your MMO 5 years before it's ready. We're not going to see this for quite some time but it's still very much in the works and the last remaining hope of the bastion of MMOs.

Im under the impression, through word of mouth on twitter and reddit - that Ghostcrawler / Greg Street - had a contract that left him holding ownership of what has been worked on up until that point. You can clearly see that with how far along the MMO he's working on, now funded by Net Ease (/puke). If you dive into a bit more, you'll notice that everything that would/could be trademark liabilities has been ripped out and you have basic/generic entries in place of those assets (Player Characters being the most obvious, but world locations/names etc. too.) Riot Games is left with pretty much nothing after whatever fiasco happened. We can hope for the better part that Riot Games leadership essentially said what Tryndamere is saying - in that it wasnt different enough. But I think Greg Street's "vision" of a personal experience and an MMO experience in one game is pretty different and next gen. Its like a mix of Roblox and WoW for a loose example. Im hoping Net Ease just plays in the funding role, only - but I already know theyre going to fucking milk the shit out of it.

If Riot Games wants to make a new entry into MMO's - then Im all for it. But we're probably almost a decade out from them rebuilding from scratch with a new premise entirely.

I wanted to wait until all 9 episodes were out, but that didn't work out. :)

Still amazing animation, and art direction, although I think the fight scenes were better in season one. They felt more fluid, here I felt there were a lot of still shots.

The story is still interesting, especially the politics. Looking forward to the rest.

I know this is the last season, but I really hope they do more in different region and with different characters, because the style is so fun to watch and the story so far have been pretty top notch.

PSA if you're dying for more story set in this world, go ahead and play Ruined King. It's fun and has a compelling enough narrative.

I am avoiding spoilers so far since I haven't sat down and watched the new episodes, but the Ekko/Jinx fight last season may be the best animated fight scene of all time.

It's the kind of wild stylized stuff you never see in western stuff, usually reserved for anime. But to pull it off that well in... whatever this animation is called? Fucking incredible.

Did Salo get healed by Viktor off screen? I was kind of blindsided there when Salo is all cyborg and Jayce was stuck in the Matrix. I don't seem to remember either event.

Yeah that Salo thing was off screen I guess or I missed it too, but the main thing I must have missed is why Jayce has gone all vengeful hobo and wants to kill Viktor to stop him. Ambessa mentioned in ep4 that Jayce was missing but I don't recall what happened to him. Definitely will have to rewatch to pick this up.
Looks like that bomb Isha set off didn't do too much since everyone (except Isha) is sighted alive and well in the preview for arc3?
I assume Ambessa's bodyguard is dead but you never know.

Salo getting healed off screen was probably for the best. His conversion would have been predictable enough that they didn't need to show it. So, they elude to it by the tranny cat dude telling him about a miracle healer and that's it.

As for Jayce, his motivations look to be a major plot point in next 3 episodes (probably). So again, only a few things are eluded too, such as a voice talking to him when he appears, then Vickor saying he could hear/sense a voice as Jayce ported back in (next to Salo). Finally, they showed Jayce talking to "himself" and having visions of arcane horrors when looking at healed people, as he was headed toward Vicktor in the cult camp. If you saw all that, then you didn't miss anything.
