Here's what I know about KR 2.0 so far:
- Raid vs. Raid duels
- Expanded castle building? Not too clear on this
- New form of "destroying" items that creates crafting/regrade materials
- Celestial items no longer have breaking chance when regrading
- Breaking chance when regrading anything reduced significantly
- Player factions REMOVED from the game (NA/EU will never see them)
- No new races (Dwarf, Fairy, Warborn, and Returned were originally promised)
- No new zones (Rest of East and West continents were originally promised)

I'm guessing raid vs raid duels is for intra-faction fights?
Too bad about player factions being removed. A lot of people in PRX were looking forward to player factions. I wasn't sure if we'd do it but it was definitely an option.
That list doesn't seem to justify the 2.0 number though.

I'm not sure if raid vs. raid duels actually let you kill people, though. It might be just for fun and not actually a viable way to contest same faction guilds for objectives without getting crime points.
My contact is still gathering information, but 2.0 releases in KR quite soon, so it's unlikely much else will be added.

Fun fact: Trion lied about player factions being "broken." They had been functional in KR since their implementation.

Would any of you have tips regarding the best way to go about acquiring Black Pearl fragments? I'm asking on behalf of a friend who has a hard-on for the extra ten men you can fit on it.
Personally I don't understand all the fuss around ship components, but then again Abyssal Attack takes place at an inopportune time relative to my work schedule so I have yet to ever experience it.

Black Pearls fragments? I think any elite mob in the 40+ range will drop them, so chug some loot drop rate potions and farm the lowest possible level elites ;p
As for player factions, it sounds like 2.0 removes them, so it is just as well we never got them ;p

The drop rates used to be decent but since 1.0 they have been abysmal. Your best bet is the Black Wolf (?) castle in northwestern Halcyona. Bring your whole guild. Expect one drop every 2-3 hours. (Not joking.)

If you are not planning to spend a lot of money on the game, you will have a hard time catching up. If you want to have any meaningful impact in PvP I advise you to focus your efforts on gear and dont spend gold on pointless (in my opinion) fluff, like big ships, pets, costumes and all that shit. Find a good guild and get Serpentis gear / Auroria gear as a starting point.
Also find a good and active guild. Otherwise you will just be food, if you go to contested zones.
