Use one of the plethora of VPNs to create the account so it appears you are from a supported country.

Did a little more digging into archeage's endgame. Apparently there are entire zones(regions) which are essentially just open world raid content, including one area called 'Carcass' full of bosses that need 50+ people to kill? And it's in an open PvP area, so other guilds can gank you while youre fighting...if a guild gets enough of these bosses down they can spawn some enemy called the red dragon that needs..get ready for this..150-200 people to take down ..and if you dont kill it in time apparently it flies off and just starts burning the shit out of nearby cities, including guild cities and player housing.

Sounds exciting, awesome and terrible at the same time.

Oh and supposedly there are two 'red dragon' fights, the one that shows up more often on youtube was a GM event and a joke, the real one is much harder i read.

Someone at endgame can maybe verify some of the above?

I also read there are two 10 man instances that drop the second best gear (crafted gear from world boss drops being the best), and three 5 man instances that drop the third best.

has to be the first time ever a NA mmorpg vet has had to vpn through Armenia to register in Russia to play a game

Got in game last night, only thing so far I have a question on is that I hit shift + LMB and a little blue circle target thing appeared on my UI that I could move anywhere on the screen. WTF is it ?

So, what the fuck is happening with this game? I don't know shit about it, but it seems like it may be worth setting some shit up.

What's the expected data of this becoming available in the US without a VPN? How much of a bitch is it to use this with a VPN currently?

It's really easy to setup and use with a VPN but I don't believe outside of the "playable in 2014" date, nothing else has been officially announced.

Zero bitch. VPN to aa.mail.ru, create account and you're done. Chrome with translate is your friend. VPN no longer required. Download game and log in.

NA release, fall would be my guess with a small chance for end of summer. I'm guessing XL games is working on making the changes Trion wants to 1.0 while Trion gets the translations solid.

scott, plz give me beta invite. me give you many monies long time (until Black Desert).
Indeed, perhaps some Alpha testers from Rerolled to help out. Would love to participate. ( prefer helping you guys get an NA version out than messing around with the RU ).

Is there any evidence or hints of this? Or just what you hope?

On another note, its funny to see this game get this reception on this board. Considering its quest hubs(with the usual quest types) and tab locked target combat. Yet no one seems to be screaming "WoW clone" like they do with every other game.

No, directly from my ass based on some google fu.

I had a write up a page or two back on the game. Its tab targeting and the quests aren't anything special. 100% correct. The differences between Archeage and say TESO or Wildstar or NWN or any other game to come out since WoW are:

1. Huge world. Beautiful world. Tons of relief, tons of space, tons of little details. Sure you're being sent from hub to hub its just not as obvious because the world doesn't feel like a corridor or like it was designed to run you from place to place. The world is amazing.

2. Grinding MOBS is perfectly, 100% viable. Not only is it viable it is very rewarding since MOBS drop loot, give lots of xp per kill and the loot in game is generally not shit. Most everything is valuable.

3. Character development is excellent. The skill system is very well done. Lots of variety and different ways to build an excellent character. Do you remember playing EQ and thinking, "aww shit 5 more levels and I get x?" Well its back.

4. Combat is fluid, solid and very well done. Yup its tab targeting. I don't really notice. Abilities have tons of umph, they fire off correctly, I haven't felt locked into animations when moving, you have a very wide variety of skills to choose from and they all do something different. They feel different. I'd prefer it to be more like Tera style but TBH it is fine as is.

5. PvP exists on a lot of different levels. You can kill the other faction which is highly encouraged. You can gank your own players but there are penalties. You can also just be a total dick head and kill everyone regardless of the penalties. Options options options.

6. Contested content

7. Guild vs Guild continent.

8. Crafting is difficult but rewarding

9. Leveling is NOT a chore

Is it perfect? Nope. However it is the most complete game to be released since WoW and despite its blemishes is the first game I've played since WoW that I said "you know something, I think I can play this thing for 6 month to a year if not more".
